Pro Bowl: Demeco in/Mario, others alternates

If Mario had played the first half of the year like he did the second, he would have been all-pro much less pro-bowl. I don't understand why they can't wait until the regular season is over before voting. The damn game isn't until Febuary for crying out loud.

As for Demps, I'm shocked. Yes, he has played well since starting, and I think we can look at other spots in the offseason, but pro-bowl based on like 6 games of starting? Has the talent level at safety come down that far?

Ok I am not that all surprised that Mario didn't make it and I am sure he will make it in because some one will decline, injury etc.

Now the fact the Demeco made it is awesome, but how freaking hard is it for ESPN to put down that he plays for the Houston Texans and not Pitt. I mean come on, the one guy on our team to make it and they can't give him the right team name. Rediculous...

I believe they have 1 week up until the date of the pro-bowl.

You mis heard it what they said. they were talking about Porter who was let go by the Steelers and the guy who replaced him goes to the pro-bowl.

They did give props to Mario but just barely.

Congrats to DeMeco, I'm really happy for him and he is our most deserving player IMO. I was worried that he wouldn't make it, but its even sweeter for him to be named the starter ahead of Ray Lewis.
The guy I feel the worst for is D-Rob who was having his best season until
his injury. As for Mario, his rookie year was no where near DeMecos (and this award is clearly cumulative whether we like it or not),
and doing better this year up until Marios recent burst and
DeMecos blown PCL, which we are just learning about.
And the Jags not getting anybody in is the biggest ripoff, especially for Fred Taylor. What a shame.

The Probowl is a big load of bull crap. Not one Buccaneer on the Pro Bowl roster and they have the #1 ranked defense in the NFC. The fact that Mario Williams isn't a starter is a joke as well. I honestly would take that kid over almost every other DE that made the Pro Bowl.

Last year, Vince flew out the week of the Pro Bowl and the year before McNair was there on Wednesday before the game.

That is why neither participated in the pregame acitivities.

Mario not making the ProBowl is a blessing in disguise. Now he has something to work for and something to motivate him. That he leads the AFC in sacks and still is not going.
