The Houston Texans still have a chance to make the playoffs .The odds are long but all I can say is keep winning and pray for a lot of HELP!

I like that once we knock the Broncos off the list, we move up. Too bad we couldn't have handed Tenn or Cleveland a loss! It's nice to be listed on ESPN's "Wild Card Race" graphic in December, even if we don't make it in!

We will also help the Browns make it in when we beat Jax!

It's December and for once the Texans are in the playoff "bubble"!

I'm just happy that we can actually impact the playoff scenario even if it is in a spoiler role.

This is great and all, but wait until next year. Got a feeling we'll be in the hunt for something else, homefield advantage and a first round bye. Now, only if we could get those pesky Colts out of our division!

A few good free agents and a good draft and baring injuries, the Texans will be over 500 next year. As to the playoffs, I'm not counting on that until the 2009 season. I think next year we have a very honest shot at a 9-7 or 10-6 record. The 10-6 could very well slip us into the playoffs, but I'm not hoping for that. I just want them to quit having losing seasons for a change, and then I'll raise my hopes to the next level.

As far as I can figure, because the Texans aren't in good shape concerning tiebreakers, this year's playoff hopes are down to the Texans needing to win the rest of their games and Cleveland losing 3 and Tennessee and Buffalo both losing at least 2 of their last 3.

Because the Texans last 3 games are conference games, where they currently sit with a 3-6 record, one loss should eliminate them because of that poor conference record, which is the second tiebreaker. Head to head being the first and the Texans lose that to both Cleveland and Tennessee.

To make the playoffs, the Texans can't be tied with anybody, they'd have to win it outright as pointed out above.

That, of course, is as far as I've got it figured.

I seriously doubt that we will make the playoffs, but I agree to see us as a bubble team instead of not even mentioning us.

WITH the chance Thursday to "eliminate" another bubble team. And The last game to possibly push Jax out of the spot.

If we win 7 games...I am happy.

Just because I think a good Head Coach improves each year, especially with the injuries we've had.

No excuses...but seriously if we had half of the guys back from injury during this year...who the hell knows what our record would be. I bet we would win 2 more games though than we would.
