Default What if time?

I am a huge off season guy. Sorry, I love the games, but roster building is more fun to me.

That said I want to play what if?

We currently have the #11 pick in the 1st.
With that pick I trade down with Cowboys who own the 21st pick of the Browns, I get a 2nd round pick for this drop.
With the 21st pick I take Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois
With my 2nd rounder I go Jeff Otah OT Pitt. A monster
With My 3rd rounder I go Dom Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tennessee St.
With my 4th I go Alex Mack OC California (thanks Beerlover good solid find)
With my 5th I go Kenny Iwebema DE Iowa
With my 6th I go Jorvorskie Lane RB Texas A&M
With my 7th I go Brad Cottam TE Tenn, a giant 6-8 270, he had a wrist injury and only played the last 2 games this season. Should be a surprise. Hell he could play OT.

I could start off different on this draft

I could do the same trade down going from 11 to 21, but I pick Clady at OT.
#21 Clady OT Boise St.
I offer the Seahawks my 1st in 2009 for the #24 pick and select Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
Now my 2nd rounder pick is Quentin Groves DE Auburn.
3rd and 4th rounds stay the same, my 5th rounder become Jasper Brinkley LB South Carolina. With my 6th and 7th staying the same.

Just want to add, my FA signing here, I target Jared Allen/Travis LaBoy/ Terrell Suggs to be my RDE. I sign Calvin Pace and Karlos Dansby from the Cards to be my OLBs. Sorry no big time CB or Safeties. On offense sorry I decide against any big name offensive players, I instead decide to go offense in the draft.

The question is would you trade the unknown 1st rounder from 2009 to get back in for a known stud player this year.
