14-0 Mizzou at the half.
sorry YTF, this one has looked pretty ugly for KU. several redzone chances and came away with nothing. Mizzou has been moving the ball with ease. Reesing looks nervous. some things are going to have to change in the 2nd half big time. |

Mizzou won. great game. Chase Daniel was 40 of 49 passing with 3 TD's and no picks. easily put himself in the top 3 of the Heisman candidates.

Good for Daniel and Mizzou. They are who I am pulling for now that LSU has been knocked off. Im sure Mangino has a box of Oatmeal Pies waiting on him to ease the pain...

Well by the time the jay hawks figgured out they were in a death fight it was already 14-0. They get the onside kick...could of got interesting. I'm not going to trash talk the Jay Hawks . Gonna be great for the big twelve north to be back once again. If you could put Daniels on a rack and strech him eight inches, you'd have an all Pro QB. Five ten is five ten...I don't care how much "it " you've got.
Can they get by OU and will the tiger faithful travel to San Antoin. You know the boomers will travel. They'd go to a pig kill in the off seaon if there's a drunk somewhere at the end of the line. Will Missouri money travel ?

Mizzou made this game way too close. They whipped the tar out of KU for 3 quarters with superior talent (their offense vs. KUs defense), then demonstrated horrendous clock management in the last quarter to finally let
KU in the game. For one thing, I couldn't believe how many times Mizzou receivers went out of bounds instead of staying on the field and running the clock in the 4th quarter after making a reception. They are gonna have to get out of the shotgun, put Daniels under center, and have 1 or 2 setbacks so they can run the ball and take time off of the clock if they jump up on the Sooners in the Big 12 championship game. But have no doubt the Sooners have better personel than KU, who really hadn't played anybody until last night. |

Well they had the sooners number when they played in Norman. Had them beat well into the third quarter. I think alot of folks assumed a lot of stuff on Mizzu and Kansas at the begining of the season. Gonna be a fun game. Bowl selection is going to be more than a formality this year. I expect some skullduggery.

I just got back into town a few hours ago, and I actually just got back from KU basketball beat Arizona in OT in an intense game.
The Mizzu game was depressing to watch. Reesing was nervous, and Mizzu was well prepared for our short screens. Downfield passes worked all game when we tried them, but our redzone offense coupled with our kicker killed us this game. We stopped them enough to win a shootout, we just couldn't execute for points. I pin a good majority of this loss on our K, Scott Webb. Two missed FG's early, and one of the worst attempts at an onside kick I've ever seen when we really needed it most.
