Texans 30
Browns 24 Our defense > Browns defense With the return of AJ and Schuab, our offense may not be as good as the Browns offense, but it's a lot closer than without either of those guys. I think our secondary steps up again just like they did last week.

Browns 30
Texans 33 Kris Brown kicks a big FG in overtime after Schaub hits Owen Daniels for 30+ yards.

Well the spread is Texans +3-1/2. To me that means the teams are more or less evenly matched and being at the Dawg Pound is worth a little more than a field goal.
Right now I see another patented Cleveland barn-burner (Cardiac Browns 2.0??). My prediction: 28-27 Texans. OBTW, AOL pundits think the Texans will pull off the upset too Check this link for all the predictions Quote:

Texans - 31
Brownies - 20 Our D line is figuring things out (finally). We will win the turnover battle and it won't be too close. Schaub throws for 300+ and A Davis get a TD in front of the Pound Puppies!! |

Our defense is better than their defense. Their offense is better than our offense. I think it will come down to the special teams. They have Josh Cribbs so containing him will be critical. It's really an interesting game because both teams are up and coming and both teams are contending for playoff spots. Hopefully we'll pull out a big road win. Houston 28-Browns 20.

The two offensives are similar as far as stats go, but as far as stats go, our defense is better. But we are playing in the Dog Pound.
Considering that, I wouldn’t bet two cents either way. This is going to be a good game simply because either team can win. Unless one of the two teams suddenly becomes horrible, it will be a close game. And both of these teams can become suddenly horrible.

I rethought my prediction. There are two things I don't like about this game:
1. I don't like trying to match TDs with the Browns in a shootout. They're too damned lucky. We need to turn this into a mudbowl slug fest to win, saaay 13-9 or 17-10. We should treat this game like we do the Colts. Get the lead, run the ball, eat up clock. Sorry if that's not as sexy as a shootout but I want a win. When I want sexy, I take a peek at the cheerleaders. In our five road games we've given up an average of 28 pts; the Browns have repeatedly shown they can put up 30 - hell, they put up 51 on the Bengals. So please, no shootouts. 2. Another thing worries me: They have a better turnover ratio than we do. We're -7; having given up 13 INTs and lost 13 fumbles while snagging 9 INTs and scooping up 10 fumbles. They're even; losing 11 INTs and 7 fumbles while getting 10 INTs and recovering 8 fumbles. We need to win the turnover battle; just like we did against the Saints. In my dream scenario, we get turnovers 3 of the 7 times Cleveland is in the redzone and force them to kick field goals the other four times. One of the turnovers is a fumble recovery by DeMeco that he returns for a TD. This puts him (and us) on the national map. Those things said, I'd like to revise my prediction: 23-12 Texans. I just read that Marciano will have Brown kick to Cribbs. If true:
Browns 37, Texans 31 (OT). Cribbs takes the overtime kickoff to the house.
