According to Adam Schefter, Priest is hanging it up.

Gotta respect the guy for coming back. I just have to wonder how wise it was to try it, though, with a neck condition. That's nothing to toy with.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes is expected to retire after suffering another neck injury Sunday and meeting with doctors this week. An announcement could come as early as Wednesday.

One source familiar with the situation said Tuesday night: "He is retiring for sure. Noon press conference on Wednesday."

IMO, he should've never attempted a comeback. The neck injury is definetely not an injury someone should mess with. I wish him luck. He's a good guy.

Yeah but sports athletes tend to hang on longer than they should.

It's a shame to see him go. He was always very talented and a respectable person. His presence will be missed, for sure.

Seriously though when you go through that much trouble to come back from something you're not supposed to come back from and then it happens to you again? That's the football gods telling you to sit your butt down and watch the game from now on.
