Just terrible all season. Today, they allowed Bulger of the Rams to throw for 302 yards and 2 TDs on 27/33 passing. I know Bulger isn't a bad QB but he is having a horrible year.

The Saints are one of the worst passing defenses in the league. They allowed Marc Bulger and Vince Young each to throw for their only multiple TD game of the season. In other words, the Saints have allowed Marc Bulger to throw 2 TDs while he has thrown only 5 TD on the whole season, and they allowed Vince Young to throw 2 TDs while he has only thrown 4 TD on the whole season

they remind me of the '05 Dolphins. they'll make a run here and there but ultimately wind up missing the playoffs. both have horrendous pass defenses btw.

The TDs aren't even the worst part.

Bulger was 81% on 33 passes when he was 57% on 209 before this game.

Don't we still have quite a bit of uncertainly about whether Schaub or Sage
is the starter and who plays the most against the Saints ?

Everyone clamouring for Samuel this offseason, look at Jason David. We don't need to waste a bunch of money on a cover 2 CB that is terrible in man.

Expect Schaub (assuming he's starting) to be looking to his left a lot this coming Sunday.

Jason David:
Thrown at - 10 times
Completed - 8 times
Yards - 109
TD - 2

Allowed 3rd down conversions on 3rd and 9, 3rd and 15, and 3 and 19 (3rd and 19). I can't for the life of me, figure out why we played such soft defense on the corners yesterday and just let Bulger, Holt, and Bruce pick us apart. Our best defensive performances have come from pressuring the QB into making some mistakes and not giving the QB 4-7 seconds to wait for the reciever to leave someone in the dust.

Honestly, I'd love to be able to tell you guys that you are going to light us up in the air, or that we're going to shut you down and light up the scoreboard, but we're so all over the place that I don't have a ****ing clue. We may beat you by 28, or you might lay it to us by 30. Neither would surprise me.

yeah the Saints probably should've went secondary in the first round. but fortunately they got Robert Meachem who is TEARING it up this year. on pace to shatter all of Randy Moss's rookie records. probably will get the ROTY unanimously. sure Adrian Peterson has been great, but Meachem? in another league.

oh wait he hasn't caught a single pass.

It's not like any of the corners they had a shot at are lighting the league on fire, either. Give the guy a break, he's only a rookie.

i just find it ironic how the 7th round rookie receiver they drafted last year lights up the league and the 1st round rookie receiver they draft this year hasn't seen the field.

He had knee surgery before the start of the season and has been inactive since day 1. Maybe the guy will be a bust and maybe he won't, but I'd hardly point to that as the reason for our insane schizophrenia.

yeah its kinda similiar to wes welker (undrafted) and ted ginn.. dont throw stones in glass houses

Wes Welker was a RB in college. Thats why he wasnt drafted.
