Thought it was about time to put the light on one of my favorite college football players. Redshirt Senior OLB for Virginia Tech Xavier Adibi:

A big-play man who earned second-team All-ACC honors last year ... Teams up with Vince Hall to form one of the top linebacking duos in the country ... Has started every game over the past two seasons ... Covers a lot of ground quickly ... Tech's best sideline-to-sideline defender ... Contributed key plays in each of the Hokies' last three conference games in 2006 ... Intercepted a pass to set up the winning touchdown at Miami ... Returned a fumble for a TD to ice a win at No. 14 Wake Forest ... Forced a fumble with a sack to pave the way for Tech's first touchdown against Virginia ... Was second on the team in tackles (82) and tied for second in interceptions (3) ... Shared the ACC lead in forced fumbles with three ... Plays fast, smart and aggressive ... Is being counted on for leadership.

He is having a great year. He has alot of speed and durability. He blitzes well and finds a way to get himself some interceptions. I was wondering if anybody had been watching him and where they projected him?

I am projecting him to be a first rounder.

I remember him from his freshman season - the guy is always making plays. Not sure about how he rates out physically but the guy can play.

I've seen his weight listed everywhere from 219 to 236.

He looks like a good Will prospect in the 2nd round. Late 1st if you really need one.

We could use a OLB , will or sam, but this guy is a first rounder in my mind and using a first rounder on a LB would mean that we aren't addressing some serious needs. I didn't create this thread so much for a prospect for us...more just to put some attention on him.

This guy is a real leader too...everytime I watch VTech play the commentators talk about something that he did to exute leadership.

character & prospects "team first" mentality is something the Texans seem to really value.
