Anybody else go to the game?

I was indeed there. First of all, it was quite embarrassing to be a Texan fan yesterday. I was hearing comments like "Chargers have two off weeks in a row". Can't say they were wrong about that one, there. Anyway, if you went, how were the fans around you? I've been to road games at Denver, New York and now San Diego and I have to say of the three, San Diego fans were the worst. I was even in the club level, which I would think would have a little classier fans than up in the nose bleeds but I caught all kinds of hell and I wasn't even being obnoxious. What did I have to be obnoxious about, after all? This being said, there were some really nice people around me and maybe it was only that very loud obnoxious 10-15%.

Oh yea, I know I gave the home fans some grief for leaving early last week so I gotta admit-I left early yesterday. Painful, it was!

If the worst you got was the "Chargers have two off weeks in a row"...I'm pretty sure you got out ok on that road trip considering they are right.

Charger fans can be real obnoxious. When I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago some Charger fans wearing jerseys kept looking at me, pointing to their jerseys, and saying "Chargers baby". (I was simply wearing a Texans cap). I just ignored them as my wife kept asking me what their problem was. It was a real elementary school moment.

You could have easily hit below the belt with some type of comments like "I knew this would be a tough week for us since you guys have been on fire of late".

Keeping in the theme of elementary school, maybe you should have just let them know that they were # 1....

Actually, I kinda hate to admit it, but I did that exact thing as I was leaving the game when some of the fans were giving me grief. I don't mind good natured ribbing, but being jackasses is another thing entirely.

I'm going to Oakland wearing the same thing next weekend.

The Texans really don't deserve the support, but I really want the experience.

I am flying solo on that one.

I should be fine in my seat, 40 yard line, Texans bench side, row 3. The bathroom is where I could get into some serious trouble.

Plan is to walk proud but keep my mouth shut!

No joke. If I were you I would bring a jacket or something to cover up your Texans gear when you go to the bathroom. It's not worth the risk of being beat up and urinated on like Dolphin fan, or even worse.

You are probably right, but I probably got bigger balls than I should. Or, maybe it is just plain stupidity.

You only live once and I am bit of outcast of sorts. This is kind of who I am.

It will be amazing to get in/get out alive and be able talk about it, including the pictures.

I was there last year with a very low key look and I really didn't get that much grief. Some Raider fans told me I shouldn't have held back!

A lot of it will be how I handle myself. Like I said earlier, I will walk tall (about 6-5 with the boots) but keep my mouth shut!
