Somebody's gotta start the Sage Rosenfels thread.

I say he did a great job under the worst possible conditions. Amazing that he turned the ball over how many times? and still put the Texans ahead with 54 seconds remaining. Just stunning.

How did he do and what does it mean, if anything? Is it a freak accident, or bellweather?

he was cleaning up in garbage time like a certain someone was doing. the strange thing is, while he was at the helm & made some great plays to get us back, he was also one of the main reasons we lost with his 3 TO's. Go figure, Only the Houston Texans.....

The offense in general sucks. The first two plays got me heated. Two WR screens in a row? WTF was Kubiak thinking? He almost got JJ hurt again.

I think he was seeing if JJ could make something happen. Before he was hurt, JJ may have turned those into something. However, today JJ seemed very timid whenever he had the ball. I guess he wasn't ready to go back in yet. Hopefully he'll be his old self soon.

Can't we just copy and paste one of last years sage threads here.

Although now we have a real QB as an alternative to Sage the arguments are even more redundant.

Then we should also post the thread from last year when Sage almost engineered his first come back against the Titans when Carr was pulled. Suddenly the offense moved. Not a call for Schaub's head, just stating he did the same thing last year. And before the words "garbage stats" come out here is a quote from Fisher:

(on what changed defensively in the second half) “If I could answer that I’d tell you. If we could have stopped it, we would have. There is a lot to be learned from this game. (Titans defensive coordinator) Jim (Schwartz) was aggressive and he was doing the same thing he was doing in the first three quarters. We just couldn’t find the ball and they did.”

Then why did it take 3 quarters for Kubiak to figure that out? Or was it Rick Smith? Regardless, Kubiak needs to get control of his team, coaches, or whatever the hell is making them screw up every damn week!! The type of crappy play we witnessed yesterday falls in Kubiaks lap. JMO!!

I think that is the ultimate question. We seem to always start off slow and then pick it up once it's too late. Maybe it's the coaching staff being too stubborn and not changing their strategy. Kubes constantly talks about the need to run the football and seems to stick to it when it goes nowhere. When we throw things happen. Maybe we need to go the Colts route and use the pass to soften up the run.

Sage is the best backup QB in the league. We are damn lucky to have him. Hell, the man would probably be a starter on some teams in the NFL.

Arizona or Carolina would kill to have a QB like him right now. QBs are going down all over the league.

I'd say he's the second best backup QB in the league. Kerry Collins was just a little bit better yesterday.

Collins got to play the whole game, Sage just one quarter, so that's not a fair comparison. We don't know what would have happened had Sage played the whole game.

Collins just threw a perfect pass to set up the FG, so I have to give him some credit.

yeah we do...Haynesworth would have sent him to the Hospital like he did Schaub. When the game was on the line, the line wasn't on it's game.

I keep hearing this. But then I remember he couldn't beat out Jay Fiedler for the starting job in Miami.

Sage is a great backup, but if he was starter material he would win a starters job somewhere which he hasn't.

Some people just aren't cut out to start.

There was a reason all the experts were saying Schaub had starter material as a backup, the same clamour can't be heard for Sage.
