According to ESPN...I still have a hard time believing Vince wouldn't start the game in his hometown no matter what he says

Collins has had an up & down career, but he is a legit NFL QB. He's QBed a team to the Super Bowl and thrown for 174 TDs and over 34K yards in 159 games. I find it hard to believe there are 32 QBs in this league better than Collins.

Just because the Great Vince Young isn't starting, doesn't make this game an automatic win for the Texans.

Dont forget our defense has a knack for making backup QB's leave the game looking like pro-bowlers.

Collins is the best bet for today. Titans aren't going to risk it because the potential for further injury exists.

Exactly, we have been without our best offensive playmaker for a month now so there shouldn't be any complainging.

What's our record vs. 2nd string QBs?

Seems we have trouble with them. Remember the Rams game when the 3rd string guy came in and demolished us? That's right up there with the Frank Reich incident.

I wish VY was playing. He might damage us a few times, but it only takes one big lick on Vince, by one of our guys, to take care of him for a long time.

By the way, this is exactly why I have always been anti-Vince: He's hurt, and he'll get hurt even worse for the rest of his career as long as he has to beat teams with his legs.

He's not a pocket QB, and thus he's a bigger risk for career-ending injury than a pocket passer. I know that Trent Green and other pocket passers can get hurt just as easily via a blindside hit etc., but I think the risk is inherently greater for running QBs because they can get hurt in the pocket, AND they can get hurt when running.

I want to see Vince get his hat handed to him by us, but then again now might not be the time for that opportunity. Maybe when we get a real defensive coordinator we can have that chance.

Let's see how David Carr, err...I mean KERRY COLLINS...can pick us apart today. I predict he and LenDale White connect for lots of screen passes and little dump-down passes, in a repeat of last week's Jags game.

Besides, Steve Tasker is dying to use that "Body shot after body shot" line again.

Collins won't have to score many points the way the flametacks D is playing. That doesn't make things much easier for us.
