Sorry Guys. I feel really bad for you all, and know that we are about 2 plays from being in the same boat. This makes 6 count them 6 wins in the last minute.
Take it easy, you'll get them next season. |

Fine...Walker was just on tv (fox xtra) and he sounded a little upset with the coaching staff.
"we play soft, then we play strong...these guys need to just let us play" |

Channel 13s news segment had an interview with Wong. Wong responded that the last couple of weeks he had been hearing talk of playoffs and that this team was no where near being a playoff team. He wasn't being critical, just honest. Then an interview with Carr. I dont have it recorded to replay and get accurate quotes but Carr said our starters are just as good as their starters and there was no reason we should be playing this bad. He may be overstating our players abilities but the tone of his voice sounded like he might be questioning the coaching. JMHO though. Then Sharper came on and he questioned the direction and identity of the team. Another shot at coaching? Capers came on and said it was just a question of execution. Is it really as simple as that? Anyone else see and have opinions on the interviews?

The players spouting off about the coaching staff speaks volumes.
The team really is lacking fire and discipline. They need strong leadership that will inspire them! .. it's just not coming from Capers and company. |

I don't know if they are capable of providing that leadership needed. Does not look like it to me! As I stated above, it's just not coming from Capers and staff.

Turnovers killed the Texans yesterday. The one fumble the Texan player absolutely quit on the play. He could have recovered the ball easily.

Well i think we all agree this is not the same Texans team we watched against the Titans, Jags...Something is not right...They lost their fire and there has to be a reason for it...Seems now every time they play we just help other teams set records...Now manning will be know for throwing 5 TD's against houston and plummer did almost the same...Its embarrassing....I still love this team and i'll stand behind them, but i can honestly say i feel they are not going to improve until the coaching staff wakes up and realizes their new stradegy is NOT working....GEEZZZ, and this next game we face the packers who are red hotttt and on fire and on a great winning streak....I'm afraid Favre is going to break his TD record against us too....This is not good....Something needs to change....The even sadder part is, we're not just losing, we're getting killed.....

This is no way a lack of dicipline on this team, for the last 5 weeks the team has known that their passing game is their strength and their running game is weak, yet they keep running the ball in stupid situations. After 2 horrible losses in a row the players are getting a little sick of going out there and trying stuff that they have accepted will not win them games.
The players feel embarassed and if they are like me they feel that they wouldn't have looked like a bunch of chumps if they were passing the ball more instead of running on 2 & 15+. The team has yet to run for more than 12 yards on one play this season... so which leaves me to ask what happened to that BS about having managable 3rd downs. The players are begining to see this and it is now showing. I've never been a fire Palmer guy but I'm getting there after the last 2 weeks. |

I admit to being a casual observer, not too sharp on the X and O of football. I do hear the analyst on TV during games remarking that a team needs to pass because there are eight in the box or they need to run because there there are only seven in the box. If you cannot run or pass does that mean you have planned wrong or that your players are not up to the challenge or a combination of both.
Note: I am starting to get worried, I am getting the impression that even the always steady, level headed AJ is starting to question the team. I kind of depend on certain posters on this board to keep me on an even keel. CAC

I agree with you totally non-natural texan....Why are we trying to run the ball when we are not good at it???...DD can't do this all alone and he's the only one that runs the ball...GEEEZZZ, how hard is it for the other team to figure that part out...and also, why is it not possible for DD to run any other direction then the middle??? He never gets very far...I say start passing again and let andre do what he does best, " give him a chance to catch the ball again"
