Changes coming to the NFL Draft

The draft, in order to make it more fan- (and TV-) friendly, will be changed. Teams will have 10 minutes instead of 15 minutes in the first round to make a choice (later rounds will also be shaved) in a move that could be announced as early as next week’s league meetings

Please make this happen. The draft is already way to long, but then again I do catch just about every pick either by TV or radio.

there was nothing more dramatic in my entire life than the 15 minutes Miami had with that 9th pick this year.

A man who takes his NFL Draft seriously. For sure.
So how is TG doing with your team ?
Were you mildly surprised by his pick by Miami, or totally shocked and if you had another choice, who was that ?

definitely shocked, expected Quinn. as did everyone.

Ginn has looked great against Houston and Cleveland. had a TD return against Cleveland, but twas called back by a holding play. also had a 60 yarder against Cleveland, also called back. i'd expect no less from Miami this year.

It was interesting the way that part of the draft went down. My first gut response to your post was to say "No biggie we would have taken Patrick Willis" but seems like I also remember a lot of "experts" saying Houston was high on Ginn and would have taken him if Miami didn't. While Ginn may develop into a stud, I'm really glad that scenario didn't play itself out.

Houston loved Ginn. they took the next best thing in Jacoby Jones later on, but they wanted Ginn. and why not? ridiculously talented.

speaking of ridiculous talent, i'm not too upset about Miami missing out on Okoye, we've got a nice eye on Glenn Dorsey.

ESPIN never ever gets anything wrong and never would promote a guy for a team and be completely dead wrong.

I do not think Houston loved Ginn as much as you make it out to sound that at #10 they would have drafted a guy they could not even workout because of injuries. Not to mention WR was and is not as a glaring need as other positions.

Like would be a better word than love if anything.

That was conjecture on his part:

Very likely and no source or even mention of having talked to anyone with the Texans=conjecture.
