Asked if the Titans planned to X-ray or run other tests on Young's right hand, coach Jeff Fisher said only that the quarterback was doing well.

"We'll have a full injury report for you (next) Friday," Fisher said. "He'll be designated as whether he practised or did not practise. At this point, I would expect he would practise."

Fisher said he felt good about Young's performance against the Packers, particularly the quarterback's three runs for 57 yards. Young also had his longest completion of the pre-season - a 50-yarder to Justin McCareins.

The Titans' first-team offence made four trips inside the Green Bay 20 in the first half - including three inside the 10 - but couldn't avoid finishing the pre-season without a touchdown. The Titans settled for four field-goal attempts, missing one.

Such failings are familiar to the Titans, who finished 2007 last in the NFL in offensive efficiency inside the 20. That helped make kicker Rob Bironas an All-Pro with a league-high 35 field goals, including a record eight in one game against the Houston Texans.

Bironas, as this article also points out, unfortunately gained his record against the Texans last year. Maybe this year Bironas gets distracted from the 2 sticks and turns his attention to kicking Young's %ss.

'No issues' with Titans' Young

Quarterback Vince Young apparently dinged his hand hitting a helmet Thursday night in the Tennessee Titans' preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, but both Young and Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Young will be fine to take on the Jaguars next Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.

Fisher repeated after a brief practice Sunday that Young has no problems.

"We're not downplaying anything,'' Fisher said. "There are no issues. There will be no surprises as far as our quarterback is concerned."

I had another VY sighting in Austin. Loser was at Maggie Maes last weekend. I was up on the 2nd floor and he was leaving. I was going to tell him that Mario is going to make him his ***** this year. I yelled out but he never looked.
