Hey there, fellow Texans fans. I hope that you guys don't have a 100 post rule like in other places.
Now that JJ is injured, who do you think we'll put in at punt returns? I dont remember seeing Jerome Mathis running back any punts during preseason. How do you guys think he would do? |

Mathis has done a great job for our team. He has run back a few punts for the team, and was a Pro-Bowler last year. He's going to do great.

Mathis isn't a PR guy. We will probably see a reserve WR or DB returning punts.

On his weekly appearance on 610AM in Houston Monday, Kubes said right now it looks like it will be Dexter Wynn returning punts unless something changes.

If im not mistaken it was Dexter Wynn who lined up to return the final punt in the Dolts game . Wynn is probably the most experienced PR on the roster . One thing that bothers me is 7 fumbles in 65 returns .

Wynn does okay, but isn't as excitiing as Jones.
How would you like your only pt to come on on an NFL punt return? I would be shaking our of my cleats.. |

Mathis is a KR, not so much of a PR so hasn't seen much time there.
Dexter Wynn will get the nod (and did). I remember last year David Anderson (wr) was in at KR or PR a few times. That could be a reason why HE was the one brought back. Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe they were on KR but can anyone shed some light on this?

Hmm, now that Mathis looks like he's gonna be sitting Sunday out, who will be returning kickoffs?
Good thing we have the Falcons this week... our WR corps is looking thin |

Unfortunately the Falcons have the 8th best pass defense in the NFL so far this season.

The Falcons are also 25th Vs. the run giving up 142.3 per game and 4.4 per carry .

This will NOT be an easy game. And what hacks me off is, if we lose, the media will start doubting us an only mention AJ as being out this game, not AJ, JJ, Mathis, McKinney, Green and two of our Safeties. Not too mention Killings was doing well.

The media is already talking about how injured we are for this game. They were mentioning how injured we were for the Colts game to make such a run at winning it.

I suggest Charles Spencer. He limps a little but so does Mathis.
