Josh - can you guys do anything other than Schaub? Just curious because the work you guys did on that red used Carr looks sweet.

I bought an Ensberg authentic, the Mrs. seam ripped off the ALL BLACK letters. It was over half off the price of an authentic jersey.

Next time we go to Minute Maid, they have a station that irons on the multi-colored letters. I'll come in under the price of a new jersey and with lettering like the Stros (instead of the cheap black stuff they sew on jerseys they sell).

Significant others with sewing skills can come in handy!

I just snagged a never worn blue Tony Boselli that I'm going to put my name on (or my screen name, I can't decide). I'll probably do the letters myself since I'm fairly pleased with the way my home made Schaub conversion went.

I've got a 'replithentic' Foreman jersey that is really nice and it may be sporting my last name soon. Sadly, I don't have a cool screen name like "Hervoyel" so I may just have to do the real thing.

How'd you do the letters yourself? Ah, I basically have the screen printed versions anyway - so not worth the hassle.... but still wanted to know.

For those workplaces mentioned in the thread - may make the money by creating a whole bunch of nameplates of various color and mail those off for the user to sow the nameplate on.

... or is that illegal?

You can add a "authentic" nameplate added to a replica jersey

we do this for the youth jerseys they are all screen printed


we can send the nameplates to the end user but they will have to find someone to do the zig zag sewing that is needed for the nameplate

On a red or blue jersey I use the white material that is used to "blackout" curtains. It's heavy, doesn't fray, and has kind of a plastic-ish backing. I have the Texans font on my computer and can print out whatever name I want in Photoshop with the letters 3" in height (so basically make my own template of what I want). I then cut them out, iron some "wunder-under" to it and then iron the letters on to the jersey panel.

Then my wife goes over them with the sewing machine.

Authentics can be made into any name / number combination

replicas can only have the nameplate changed
