Technical difficulites during halftime? - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

When Clay Walker went out to sing at halftime, was he supposed to sing a different song rather than "It's Football Time in Houston"? I think he was but I can't remember. Also, when he did start singing "Football Time", I think he was lip syncing part of it because his mic still wasn't working, then about halfway through he actually started singing. I think, but I'm not positive. Anybody else notice this?

There was something hinckey about the halftime show. Looked very Ashley Simpson from where I was sitting, but I was trying to watch the CBS halftime show at the same time.

They messed up the pregame introductions, as well. They introduced Mario, then the rest of the team poured out of the smoking bull. I thought it was a bad omen, but it was all good.

BTW, the Texans are undefeated with the new fight song. Come on team, show your steam.

I think the PA announcer was thinking the players were going to come out individually like they usually do, but the defense came out as a whole on purpose it seems.

You are correct. Mario said that the defense wanted to enter the field as a team instead of individually. Wonder if this is to be the beginning of the end of the player intros? I'd hate to see that tradition disappear, but if that's what they need to do to keep winning - I'm good....

The problem was he was waiting for the beginning of the song to start....it is a low rumble. People were wondering why he was just standing there. He was live the entire time...

I thought they said the name of a diffrent song too....??
