Watch this Rutgers offense and more importantly the coach of this team. I really like how this coach prepares his team.
They play tonight at 6:00 CT on ESPN. Does anyone else have Ray Rice as their #1 for Heisman this year? I do. |

Rice is great but my Heisman top 5 right now is:
Brohm McFadden Brennan Slaton Hart (dont hate on him just cuz he plays for Michigan) |

He is the type of runner you would look for in the system that the Texans run. Rice finds lanes and explodes right through them.

Rice looked good - had three TDs tonight? If Rutgers wins the Big East he'll probably be a top three candidate.

rutgers would have to be in a BCS game for Rice to get a Heisman vote. AND he'd have to post some tremendous numbers, most notably in the games that really matter. WVU, Louisville, USF...

Looking over the box score I found the new jersey I want, a Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada home blue Navy jersey.

Rice is a terrific runner and looked very good last night, albeit against Navy. For him to get serious Heisman consideration, though, Rutgers pretty much has to win their conference, and that probably won't happen. West Virginia and possibly Louisville will finish ahead of them. It's the same reason guys like Colt Brennan and Andre Woodson will not end up getting many votes, despite being tremendous talents.
My top five Heisman list looks like this, so far: 1. Brohm 2. McFadden 3. Brennan 4. Rice 5. Desean Jackson |

My list:
Ray Rice Brian Brohm Colt Brennan Steve Slaton Darren McFadden (He needs to step up to be in this race IMO). I think you may be right about him being in the race. He needs to step up as a receiver. Last edited by TexansSeminole; 09-09-2007 at 07:05 PM. |
