I am just glad we start off this season at home against a team that has a lot of questions likes the Cheifs. Hopefully we can escape outta there with a win.
Also I am happy we went 2-2 in the preseason lol.

I always wish luck for the Raiders since I have plenty of family members who are Raiders fan (lol last years game against the Raiders was hilarious because everyone was making jokes about how horrible it was)
I know they play the Lions first. I also know the Lions seem like the media's 'Suprise Team' this year. |

I am ready for some Football
We get to go to a middle school game and a high school game each week and are brand new season ticket holders for the Texans this year. I anticipate a fall full of football!!

That will change when they lose by 14 points to the Raiders...

Ty Law Patrick Surtain Bernard Pollard Jarrad Page Maybe a little long in the tooth, but still pretty good. I agree about Edwards. He seems like a great guy, but he doesn't come across as a good coach to me either.

Last year as bad as our offense was they let Andrew Walter complete 27 of 37 for 226 yards; by far his best game while against everyone else he didn't even look like he deserved to be a starting QB.

I definitely expect a victory for the Texans. The biggest change this year is that the team is not going in there hoping to come out with a victory -- they expect one. It's kind of like Kubiak said in that luncheon speech. What you're hearing as the biggest difference in this team is the attitude. It will be a home game against a team with a lot of question marks.
This team believes they have the talent and cohesiveness to hang with anyone. Sure there will be bumps in the road and a bit of a learning curve at times, but I expect the team to be ready for this game as I'm sure they're just as tired (more) about hearing the Texan crap spewed by the national media. PS - Does anyone know where the phrase "long in the tooth" came from? I'm only 29 but my teeth stopped growing a while ago. |

Old, especially of horses or people. Origin Horses's teeth, unlike humans', continue to grow with age. They also wear down with use, but the changes in the characteristics of the teeth over time make it possible to make a rough estimate of a horse's age by examining them. There are various similar Latin phrases dating back to the 16th century. The gap between these and the first citation of the English version - in 1852, make it likely that 'long in the tooth' was coined independently from those earlier Latin sayings. That earliest citation is in Thackeray's, The History of Henry Esmond, Esq. and refers to a woman rather than a horse: ![]() http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/l...the-tooth.html

I can't disagree with that post. I'm looking forward to watching the raiders D this season. All the best till we paly you. We'll try very hard to take care of business for y'all. I think the kid is crazy for holding out. He is getting some seriously bad advise from his agents. This IS Al Davis. And Al Davis is just crazy enough to hold the kid hostage for a year and redraft him again in '08.
