Maybe this has been posted elsewhere; if so, I couldn't find it. But on Mike & Mike in the Morning, Michael Smith predicted a 9-7 season for the Texans. Give it a listen. He almost sounds like one of us....

I heard it last night on my Tivo and he does his homework on the Texans. ESPN needs to give him more air time. Especially when they are talking about the Texans. He doesn't sound like he is trying to copy what everyone else is saying. It's almost like he is a Texan fan.

That guy is the only guy on ESPN that I know will give the Texans a proper review.

He gives every team respect by actually doing his job and not just going through the motions. It is nice for all teams to have him around.

Hes our only fan in the National media. He is the olnly one I dont mute when Texans are talked about. Makes me feel a bit better to know ONE of them has an original thought and doesnt babble. "blah, blah, oline. blah blah Reggie Bush". We will be a brand new team this year and may even finish ahead of the Colts in the AFC South. Maybe.

Michael Smith is my #1, absolute favorite NFL media guy. And he is so much more informed than the rest of those ESPN guys who are mostly clowns it's
not even close. He did his research and obviously knows our personnel. Speaking of clowns, Smith needs to be the guy to replace one of ESPNs biggest clowns T. Kornhole on MNF. Then you would have a 3some that would do the great tradiditon of MNF justice.
BTW, the other guy said the Texans go 8-8 but 4-4 on the road. Dang, I'd kill to win 4 games on the road !

I would love for one of those road game wins to be in Jacksonville. I just want to witness one road game win in person. Every year we pick a game to go to and we either get our assess handed to us or that dam Criminal Pacman Jones along with that inept QB Carr giving the game away.

The Texans have a 3-2 record at ALLTEL, so you have to like their chances.

Smith & the other guy (?) made a good point regarding the Texans road schedule. Not so tough, with only 2 of the 8 games versus '06 playoff teams. If the Texans are to finish with a winning record, they need to go at least .500 on the road. I think that's doable.
