KC has QB problems

It's only the 2nd preseason game but these guys don't look that good. They also have a qb controversy cooking. We got a chance to rattle these guys in the backfield in the opener with a decent game plan and a little bit of luck. Undefeated has a nice ring to it.

I think the test for the KC game will be the run defense because I figure they will run Johnson and Holmes into the dirt to protect their green QB's.

The D will really have to man up and get physical.

Add to KC's issues the decline in quality on their OLine too. They have lost a lot of class now Will Shields and Willie Roaf have moved on.

This is the first preseason game summary of the 2 KC QB's. Tonight's game didn't give KC too much more encouragement over their QB situation. We should trade Van Pelt to KC to complete their Three Stooges act.


BRODIE CROYLE :

First-team offensive line and receivers; first-team defense. Completed one of two passes, recovered his own fumble for a 10-yard loss.

•Second Series: 4 plays, one first down

First-team offensive line and receivers; first-team defense. Completed two of three passes — including a 13-yarder to Eddie Kennison — before being intercepted by Cleveland’s Leigh Bodden

•Third Series: 4 plays, one first down

First-team offensive line and receivers; first-team defense. Completed two of three passes, including an 18-yarder to Michael Allan

DAMON HUARD :

•First Series: 3 plays, no first downs

Second-team offensive line and receivers; second-team defense. Overthrew tight end Keith Willis on two straight pass attempts, the second of which was intercepted by Cleveland’s Daven Holly.•Second Series: 3 plays, no first down

Second-team offensive line and receivers; second-team defense: Completed both his passes — to Kolby Smith and Keith Willis — but stymied by a costly holding call.

A KC QB's sole purpose is to turn around and hand it to LJ. Anything beyond that is just gravy.

After seeing Croyle and Huard tonight, I am not even sure they can pull that off.

I don't really think theres much of a QB controversy there.

Huard's gonna be the starter. They're trying to get Croyle more reps in case they need him this season....not to mention that he's the guy that they're counting on for the future.

In the context of the Texans game....

Huard starts.
Larry Johnson's close to a deal. He'll be playing the opener.

In my honest opinion, I think that the Texans lose this game. I think that the defense will be spending too much time on the field because the offense won't start clicking until games 3-4.

Hope I'm wrong.
