Two questions:
Which other team(s) will you be following this year? Why? Somebody started this thread last year and I really liked it. I'll start off with two teams that people hate the most around here. The Titans Even though I'm a Texans fan, I'm also a Longhorn. This also means that I'm still a Vince Young fan. He's still a lot of fun to watch. And I'm in Austin, so I don't really have a choice anyway. I usually have to go to my in-laws' house to see the Texans play. I gotta get Direct TV. (Don't worry....I still root for the Texans when they play Vince.) The Cowboys I always rooted for the Cowboys because they were the other Texas team. My family never taught me that I was supposed to despise them. But I also get bored with them pretty easily too. I'll be looking to see how Romo does as a second season starter and how Wade Phillips does as a head coach. I doubt that either one will do too well. The Eagles This may be the most interesting one. My in-laws are from Philly, so it seems like they're always on for some reason. Turned out that they were a lot of fun to watch last year after I got over the season opener. And Brian Westbrook is a badass. The Houston homer in me is going to be keeping an eye on Kevin Kolb. McNabb is injury prone. It's just a matter of time before Kolb goes in. Cowboys--Well though they are hated, they are still a top team in my heart due to growing up in Ft. Worth for 22 years. On the opposite side of the spectrum from most Houstonians, I had older brothers that went to UT when Earl was there so I was a big Oiler fan too growing up, even though my allegiance was in Dallas. These days I cheer for both Dallas and Houston..as you can see I'm here and have never entered a Cowboy board. This season should be interesting. I need to see which Romo shows up. Even the sloppy guy at the end of the year made plays here and there so I want to see if he can control himself a little more. T.O. has been quiet so far and I think their D should be outstanding. Their secondary is the question mark there but I think they will improve with Roy moving up and having Hamlin..same type player but better coverage guy at FS. I also think Barber may emerge as the top back.
Chargers--Out of non-Texan teams they have always been a favorite of mine since Fouts, Joiner, Jefferson and Winslow...Air Coryell. Plus they have LT, a fellow Frog. I just think they lost so much in coaching and so forth that it will be interesting to see if they can keep up what they were doing or if Norv ruins them. He should work well with Rivers but Norv teams seem to fail. Any Team That Has My Fantasy Players--Reasonable

The Ravens- Since they are right down the road from me and I can usually scrounge free tickets from my wifes office.
The Cowboys- To see how Romo will do in this his second year as a starter. The Redskins- See the the Ravens...

Texans & Colts
I always like to catch as many of our divisional rivals games as I can. Too many times you read the sportswriters review & it seems like they watched a different game. Cardinals I'd like to catch a few of their games this year. Fitzgerald has served me well in fantasy football & I think they're poised for a break out year. |

Cowboys - They are my #2 team.
Titans - I root for whoever is playing them. I would only root for them if they had to beat a team to get the Texans in the playoffs. LOL

Any NFL team. I'm a football fan!
![]() As far as individual teams beyond the Texans...I think the Patriots could be a team to watch. They've added some offensive weapons, and I think it'll be interesting to see if the system and winning atmosphere can change a perennial malcontent like Moss. Of course we get to watch the Cowboys every week. It's not really a choice unless you have the NFL Ticket. Obviously, I'll root against anyone that plays them (except for the Titans). I like McNabb, so the Eagles are always fun to keep up with. We don't get a lot of their broadcasts, unless they play the Cowboys or get a Primetime game. And, of course, there is our favorite divisional bully, the Colts. I'm interested to see how the champions rebound after losing so many quality players. I have little doubt that Manning will be in the playoffs once again, though. C'mon, nobody is going to pick Carolina? |

Since I live in North Carolina now, I'll get my fill of the Panthers.

Outside of the Texan's i'll be keeping an eye on my Philly Eagles.
I think Kolb is a bit overrated and i'm not sure why Andy Used a second after resigning Feeley. Not saying that Feeley is a starter but it's not Like McNabb is in his late thirties or anything. I think once again McNabb will rebound and finish off how he started the year last year. I hope Westbrook stays healthy a full year again and we'll see a good portion of Tony Hunt I think. Jim Johnson's D is always fun to watch. My Bro in law is a big Boy's fan and i'm curious to see what Romo shows up. Also can he rebound from the XP attempt play? Another friend is a big Raiders fan and i'm hoping to see them do bettter...except when they play us.I'm curious to see if Kiffin will re-energize the bay area like Gruden did or another Al experiment blow up. |

Having lived near Chi-town I will keep an eye on the Bears to see if they can get back to the super bowl.
What ever teams play on Sunday and Monday night. Of course I will watch every single game of the Houston Texans.

I actually enjoy watching vince young play, but my second fav. team is the eagles, and i really like watching their brand of football. My man love extends beyond brian westbrook and onto the defense, because brian dawkins is a total BA.

1. The Cowboys -- They have been my favorite team since Day-One. I have been upset with them a time or two, but after a few days to cool off, they return to their right standing with me.
2. The Vikings -- Only because of Adrian Peterson. 3. The Saints -- They are interesting. 4. The Titans -- I want to track Vince Young's progress. 5. The Colts -- I like the organization as a whole. |

Being an Irish fan I will be interested in the progress of Brady Quinn in Cleveland.
I could watch a Browns game only if Quinn were playing. It's going to be interesting to me to follow the careers of Quinn vs Schaub.

As a kid I won a $1 bet on Super Bowl XVI when the 49ers beat the Bengals. I have been a 49er (and Joe Montana) fan ever since. However, having lived most of my life away from any NFL towns, I am a Cowboys fan. Besides the Texans, those are the only two teams I ever watch.

1. Patriots. They play a 1st place schedule and that guarantees good matchups most of the time. They also added a bunch of interesting pieces to an already talented team.
2. Colts. I hate the guy as a Texans fan, but I gotta say I love watching Peyton play QB. He is just the epitome of what playing QB is all about. 3. Lions. I know, I know. Detroit sucks. But with all the smack talk coming out of Detroit, I just gotta see if they can back it up. Adding Calvin Johnson to an already talented WR corps could make this The Greatest Show On Turf 2 for Martz. 4. Cowboys. Gotta see if Bum's son can withstand the Cowboy maelstrom of Owens, fumbling extra point trys, and perennial unreasonable expectations. They also got some heavy hitters on defense. 5. Titans. Gotta see if VY can overcome the trainwreck that has become the Titans. I think there is too much for him to overcome but if VY has shown us anything in his career, it is to never bet against him. Honorable Mention: Browns and Raiders - Love watching new QBs try and make it in the league. If Russell and/or Quinn win the starting job, I wouldn't mind checking them out on Sunday Ticket.
