Does it make any sense for the Texans to give him a ring? IIRC, he's from Houston, played high school ball here, and played for the Ags.

Stats clearly don't mean everything for DT's, but he started 16 games last year and had 10 tackles.

Adams isn't a playmaking DT. He's just a really big space eater. He is suposed to basically just occupy as many blockers as possible.
He would be great next to Okoye. |

A space eater like Adams would do wonders for Ryans too, so maybe for the right price he could be a good pickup.

He would also do wonders for the training of Amobi. Is he part of our answer, along with Amobi, for the DT position? No. But he sure would be a great, experienced leader for the team, something we could surely use.

I'm not sure if there is any difference between him and Jeff Zgonina.

It takes away a roster spot from someone who may have more long term potential like Maddox.

If he can help the team, mentor young Amobe positivly, and be a good solid veteran presence for your young Dline, I am all for it. However, how much does he have left in the ol tank? I would hate to see him take a spot away from someone like Maddox who might be a more long term solution?

He would be a good guy to put in when someone like Okoye, Maddox, or Johnson needed a break. A fresh Sam Adams is much better than Lional Dalton. |
