So now that the draft is over, how long until we can expect a FA signing? The reason I ask, is I really hope there is a FS out there worth talking to. We need to address this badly. Then again we're building a team for a 2009 playoff run, so maybe next year.

I guess the real question is, do we have to sign everyone to a contract before we know what our salary cap situation is? Or would we find a "creative" way to structure a contract so that wouldn't matter?

i think that the only real signings left will be coming with june 1st cuts. AJ will have to come around and keep us up to date on how much money, if any, that we have left to spend. i'm sure however that we've got enough spare room to make a run at some mid level talent and hopefully get that centerfielder that we need (provided anyone worth looking at gets cut of course). with the hike in salary cap, this probably wont be a very active june 1st though.
