Default Justin Durant, LB from Hampton

I posted this on the other board, but I thought I'd put it over here for future consumption.

Does anyone think we'll take a look at this guy if he's there in the 3rd round? I mean, we have more pressing needs than LB, I suppose, but our WLB is pretty weak. He is supposedly a bit undersized, listed at 6'0-7/8" and 230 lbs. The weight seems to be within normal range of NFL linebackers (Ryans is 236, Nick Barnett is 232, Vilma is 230, Derrick Brooks is 235, etc.). The height is at the low end of height for the average linebacker, but most seem to be from 6'0" to 6'2" in height. He ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at the combine and is being listed in a lot of mock drafts as a 3rd round pick and in some as a 2nd rounder. He's from Hampton, as is Mathis, so you have to think we have some scouts checking things out over there. Supposedly this Durant guy has great football instincts and from reading a few articles on him, the reports sound a lot like Ryans' reports from last year, with the additional negative of being from Hampton rather than Alabama. Anyone know anything about him?

Jags took him in the 2nd round. I think he'll justify that pick, personally.
