For ALL the times he was the toughest man in NFL. Tough as nails. And for being a 100% class act, even when surrounded by punks like Dunta. GOD BLESS, David Carr, and thanks. You deserved SO much better than what you got here. Best wishes for a great career wherever you go!

yes he was, lol....yeah he was nice guy but I think now that he's gone that some of you are going a little overboard with your respect that you're all of sudden showing him....the guy was and is still a bad QB.....I don't hate him personally but thank God his ass is out of Houston.

Almost nay time he tucked it and ran. His seeming refuseal to slide sometimes made me happy. Whatever you say about Carr, he ain't a pansy.
Had to rep this one...classy post Hoth.

Great thread. I liked:
- When he played with the injured shoulder against the Falcons and continued to give up his body for the team.

- When he dove across the goal line against the Jags in the 4th quarter for the win.

- His performance against the Vikings in '03 or '04, can't remember.

- My favorite moment was his first NFL game against the Cowboys. He looked like a star, and I hope he can find a new team that will allow him to find that kind of success.

19-10 over Dallas(the whole damn game) and the pass to set up the FG to beat Indy. EVERY single poster on this MB has to admit both of those occasions were special to us all. I mean, beating the Cowboys in our 1st game ever?? FINALLY beating Indy at anything but draft position????

My favorite DC moment was the win-it-or-lose-it end zone dive against the Jaguars.

He is right, no matter how pathetic and stupid he is.

Had to be that game with Atlanta. Tony Banks got injured, and Atlanta's QB at the time (forgot the name) was injured. So, Michael Vick and David Carr had to come in and play injured in the 4th quarter. It was a close game, too.

Well, now that David left this team, you can go cheer for whatever other team picks David up. Go to that team's messageboard and tell them how much you hate this team.

Team.

I'm loyal too, but there's no way in hell I'd ever call the Texans a ****ty team.

Happy Trail's David, and I hope things work out well for both sides.

I agree. It was time, and he is probably glad for a new start and a new city. It does make me sad to think of the Texan's without him. I will miss him and what he stood for. I wanted it to work out for him so badly here.

But onward and upward and if Schaub can do it, I'm all over it.

Five years of class conduct. And even though many may believe he could have justly thrown his line or coaching staff under the bus. Not once can I recall did he ever do it! He took responsibility for poor play in a league where you can hang your coaching staff in a New York minute.

That's my fav Carr moment... One that never happened.

Thanks for everything David.

When we all look backin the future, We'll see this is a good for everyone involved.

Good luck to you, David, where ever you land!

As most of our cast offs do, it will probably be in Dallas. If he hasn't been picked up already.
