You call it what you want. But Justice did raise some very good points about the previous coaching regime and Carr.

I will get flamed for this but it was not entirely Carr's fault and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.

However, those who still think the Oline was to blame for Carr's woes under Kubiak are kidding themselves too.

Kubiak did try to make him comfortable under center. He really did. It just didn't work out. Plain and simple. It doesn't mean Carr was a bum or a chump. He is too shell shocked. I hope he finds success wherever he ends up.

The Texans are moving on. Carr no longer fills the team's need for a punching bag. The Texans needed a QB and got one they think will work.

If I could say something to Carr face to face, it would be this...

"Dude. You are one tough @#%$#%! Sorry things didn't work out for you here, but hey we have to move on. Good luck to you and your family. If you ever come back through here, give me a call. I would love to buy you a beer."


There is no need to be viscious or bitter toward Carr as some people are on here. Just shake the man's hand, thank him for his service, and move on.

I thought his takes were weak. It sounded like a column Hulk would write. One excuse after the other. It sounded like true love to me. I wish the two of them much luck on their upcoming nuptials and honeymoon.

I agree.

And I can see these same people jumping off the Matt bandwagon after a dismal season next year and wanting his head. Until we have a running game, no QB is gonna prove there worth. No blocking, no Defense, no running game, and on and on....

I hope this isn't another band-aid fix to a gapping wound. It needs stitches bad....

Yeah that'd be great! Having 2 QBs worth over 80 million competing for the job. Keep dreaming bub, Carr's gone and the Texans have improved.

Your insight is taking a serious hit today. First you think this is (laughably) a band-aid move, and now you think they will keep Carr to compete with Schaub. I don't know what your smoking in that peace pipe, but if you keep on puffing you may totally escape the last threads of reality you are clinging too.

I was just on cbssportsline mb and they where rippin our FO pretty hard, fans from alot of teams were saying pretty much what I've been saying. This team needs far to many things to pulling this kind of trade,alot are hoping they pick-up DC after we have to cut him. I'm pulling for the Texans but I am really worried we just messed up!!

You think for 1 minute they are just gonna give Carr away? Even for something as cheap as a 4th round pick? I don't. Why not take him to training camp along with Matt and let them compete against one another and may the best man win? Or would it worry you that Carr would actually shape up and beat out Matt?

My reasoning is to build through the draft, not by giving away picks like we did on this deal. Yea, swapping 1st rounders and giving them a 2nd may have been a good deal for both sides, but not also including a 2nd in the year 2008. I have a strange feeling that will be a high pick...

Now let me guess, you and others think that with Matt, we will do at worst an 8/8 season. My best guess says we won't even hit 6/10. And I promise you, I hope I am so wrong and so far off of base that it becomes laughable. But I have not been wrong many times at guessing football. Not saying I am a guru because I was certainly wrong about Young's rookie season, but let's see what happens this year for him...

They were basicly saying now they just have to wait us out now,no reason to give anything up now. They will wait till we cut him, I don't like it but their right. IMO we overpaid for Matt and get nothing for DC not looking like a great move so far, I hope I'm wrong.
