This was proposed under another thread. Texans do a double trade down and pass on ADRIAN PETERSON @ #8 and pass on Nelson @ #12. I'm not concerned with passing on Nelson, but would you give up Adrian Peterson for:

Darrel Reives CB
Anthony Gonzalez WR
Kevin Kolb

Remember, the only added picks to our current draft would be Gonzalez and Kolb, because Reives is being picked @ #17
IMO: Only when Hell freezes over.
AD - Franchise RB for years to come

Reives - Should be a solid cb
Gonzalez - Should be a decent #2, but could play out as a #3 and will take time to develop
Kolb - Hometown kid, but you could be talking three yrs to develop into a avg qb.

Keep in mind this is the NFL and these guys fly around crashing into each other and injuries are a part of the game.

No way any team in the NFL would take this trade IMO.

I don't think our franchise is stupid enough to pick the last two guys. I would put good money on it that Revis would start over Daunta by at least next year. Kolb is a joke for this team and people need to get off their stinkin man crushes and move along. Gonzo is nothing special in a deep WR class. If you wanted to go WR in the second, you might as well get a real talent like Meachem or Rice or Bowe...one will fall.

So we trade our #8 for the Bills #12 then trade back down to the Jaguars for their #17? So that would give us the #17, #43, #48 plus our second round pick? I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Just imagine getting these four in a Texans jersey next year; Darrelle Revis, Sidney Rice, Brandon Meriweather and Joe Staley.

If that scenario played out my first 3 rounds would look like

So you think anyone liking Kolb is stupid and has a man crush. Great and you are ok with our QB situation? Or is it just because the guy went to UH? As far as your criticism of drafting Gonzalez in the second, it shows exactly how little you know about the draft and the players, because Meachem and Bowe will be gone in the FIRST, Rice maybe there but if he is not gone in the first he will be gone early second before Houston drafts.

You want to call people stupid or say a player is a joke without actually knowing any facts or backing up your comments, and yet you probably want someone to take what you say seriously, not going to happen.

So instead of riding your high horse with your head cramed up its butt, try offer constructive criticism and view points that can be debated, and not say someone is an idi ot.
