Default A couple productive not popular mock drafts

The biggest needs by the Texans in order are S, OL, QB, CB, WR, DE. Here are a couple mock drafts that would really help. These drafts also include trading down and trading Carr for additional 3rd and 4th round picks.

1. Reggie Nelson, S (Florida)…..trade down for additional pick
2. Ryan Kalil, C (USC)
3a. Drew Stanton, QB (Michigan St.) or Kevin Kolb, QB (Houston)
3b. Best CB available….additional pick through trade down in 1st
4a. Best WR available
4b. Best DE available….additional pick through trading Carr
5. Best OT available
6. Best DT available
7. Best LB available
OR
1. Reggie Nelson, S (Florida)….trade down for additional pick
2. Joe Staley, OT (Central Michigan)
3a. Drew Stanton, QB (Michigan St.) or Kevin Kolb, QB (Houston)
3b. Best C available…additional pick through trading down in 1st
4a. Best CB available
4b. Best WR available…additional pick through trading Carr
5. Best DE available
6. Best DT available
7. Best OT available

the only problem with these sort of mocks is the fact that we're going to trade down. We'd still need a trade partner and a player worth moving up to get. AP, quinn, and Landry if we show enough interest and the Falcons are that interested in trading up to secure him.

If we're trading back i'm hoping we target either Nelson or Brown if still available.

At this point don't be surprised....and I almost expect it...to see some team trade up late in RD 1 to pick Staley.

can I see a mock draft where Carr ISNT traded for a 3rd or 4th round because that aint happening. maybe a 4th round in 2008 but that would be the best we will get
