we had a crappy running game and even crappier quarterback play. we also had a pretty crappy defense. in the midst of all this crappiness, we won 6 games. not too bad considering we had a team full of crap and we only won 2 games the year before. we've gotten a running back who can actually run (might be only for 1 season before we need to look for a replacement though), and added a decent OT. it probably wont help carr out too much, but our offense should be slightly less crappy. on to the defense. QB's can throw it to anywhere on the field and complete a pass unless it's going dunta's way. why? cuz we dont have a secondary that can cover anything and a DLine that cant rush the passer. we won 6 games mostly with our defense, believe it or not. the miami game with mario deflecting a 2 point conversion. oakland was...well oakland actually won it for us, but our offense certainly cant be given credit for that. holding jacksonville to 17 points total in 2 games. and holding the colts to "just" 24 points compared to the 43 they put on us earlier. browns scored just 6. so if we can beef up the defense even more, i think we can be .500. granted, it isnt an organizations hope to be .500, but we've got to take baby steps. if we dont add defense, the opposing team will own our ass in time of possession, and it wouldnt matter who we add on offense if they cant get on the field. even though our offense is a crapload crappier than our defense, i think for right now, defense is what will win us more games. im not sure if it makes any sense, but thats how i think.

Its kinda crappy calling somebody out like that.
I agree though goe defense early and often. Lets become a team the other teams are afraid of. WR's dropping pass's because they know they are going to get laid out. QB's playing scared and running for their life. |

I say we go Landry in the 1st & DeMarcus Tyler in the 2nd... How about that? Personally, all this *trade up for Quinn* stuff is making me sick.

I wouldn't mind getting Landry in the 1st rd., but Okoye is still my first selection. I know most people "don't want to draft another D-lineman in the 1st rd. again," but I really think the Texans, if they draft defense in the 1st, will probably go for OL, WR, or QB in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I think the draft is deeper in Safeties and CB's than it is in great passrushing DT like Okoye. Still, I would be happy if they go with Landry. He definately fills a need. JMHO!
