Thoughts on QB Durability

With the Texans name being associated with every free agent QB or QB with the possibility of being traded my concern is durability. The Texans say they are going to improve their O’line between FA and the draft, although nothing has been done yet. Carr might have a lot of problems but with the beating he has taken he keeps getting up, can Ramsey do that? What about Sage? What about T. Green or however is associated with the Texans next.

Even if we make some moves to improve the O’line it will take time to gel and in the meantime I hate to see any new QB we bring in get knocked out due to poor line play. Most of the players that are mentioned with the Texans have some mileage on them and are mentioned only as a stop gap until a QB we draft can be groomed, can an older player survive behind our O’line long enough for a young QB to mature? If our line does not improve drastically we had better have a backup capable of playing cause their will be playing time for both.

Ofcourse our line isent the greatest but I think it has goten better. I think if we had a new qb say trent green he would be able to move in and out of the pocket IMO. Carr is just to rattled to do that.

Carr has taken a beating in 2 seasons: 2002 and 2005. If our line can perform the same as it did last year, we should give up around 35-40 sacks and that's about average. Most teams in the league give up that many sacks. That's not a beating. And if the line improves and I'm expecting the FO to make some moves to improve it, then we should give up even less.
