Kerney, 29, got a six-year, $39.5 million contract that included $19.5 million in guarantees. He was involved in a two-way negotiating battle with the Seahawks and Denver Broncos. The decision was going to be a tough one, but it required a deadline. Kerney and his agents used the length of a flight to make his decision.

pretty good set of pass-rushers there in kerney and peterson.

not as good as taylor and porter though.

That is a lot of money for a 29 year old, often injured DE who isnt that good.

kerney is very good. but dewayne white is the better DE in free agency. good signing by the lions there...he'll get 10+ sacks.

i agree. kerney was a bit above average but nothing special. another showing of folks over paying in FA
