I don't have a clue, but would like to know. Does it matter the position or just the number taken. If AP falls to us and is the #1 rb overall, do you think he would ask for anything close to 50mil. as R. Bush did.

I think it would be around that number. Each year the salaries for draftees seem to go up a little, and I'd guess that AP would get a contract anywhere from 42-52 mil.

I think the position they play may make a difference...like a QB might get more. but i'm not really sure.
i found this when searching for info. http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archi...y_cap_page.php donte whitner is a strong safety and got selected 8 overall by buffalo last year. If we draft Landry i would assume his $ would be similar however with the Cap increasing won't the agent try and get that percentage more? i'm not too sure. Salary $275,000 Amortized Bonuses $300,000 Other Bonuses $1,348,000 -Total- $1,923,000 That's for last year I believe, it should also depend on the agent and the club negotiations. I'll keep looking to get better information...

Nope, Donte Whitner hasn't signed with the Buffalo Bills. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. The AP is reporting that the two sides are more than $1 million apart. "The Bills' last offer included $12.9 million guaranteed on a five-year deal while Whitner is seeking closer to $14 million," a source told the AP. Think he'll be the last draftee to sign? Here is from a Bill's forum...obviously it's old but gives us an idea about guaranteed money. and he's a safety so this would be similar to if we drafted landry??? i'd expect Peterson's agent to negotiate him more....as well as Quinn.
