one free agent has been inked?? Anyone got a scoop, hell Im even intrested to see who others teams signed!!

Word is Kris Dielman's already got a deal in place with either Seattle or Miami that includes a $12 million signing bonus. Same for Steinbach, who's reportedly set to go to Cleveland.

Steinbach IS a guard, they could still take Thomas with the #3 pick if he's there. It would be smart of them to do so. However, if we trade with Cleveland, like it's reported, then we'll definitely take AD. Cleveland at #8 would take the BPA, who would possibly be Alan Branch, who could help out at NT in their 3-4 scheme.

I hate to be the pessimist here, but I seriously doubt we will sign anyone thats proven. Too many teams have just as if not more money to offer and we won't get Clements. We won't get any credible running backs, no quarterbacks, maybe, just maybe a Left Tackle and some defensive linemen but nothing significant. I don't think AP will be there for us at number 8. Quinn might be, but I don't see Kubiak taking him. My bet is we will take Chris Houston or Laron Landry unless somehow Thomas falls to us, which I doubt. As far as the QB, I expect Carr to still start, because Mcnair is too incompetent and doesn't realize Carr is the reason he has yet to get anywhere. Its possible we get Kolb and I like that guy. Remember, great QB's in the BFL rarely make mistakes. Kolb is the best QB in the draft as far as intelligence is concerned. My point is, don't expect to land a single free agent or draft pick that will put the texans on any map out of Houston.

Smith has said they will take BPA, that that is his 'style'.

BPA at #3 there is a good chance Calvin Johnson or maybe even Joe Thomas would be there. I think the texans would have both rated higher than peterson.

'Ok I agreed on 1 thing. that was that we prob wont sign any big free agents. kolb overrated and he deff isent the smartest! i bet if Quinn is there they will sign him, Carr will be gone therefor he will not start. what else????? oh yea kubes is in control most of all

I still doubt this team trades up for anybody, we're just not that good yet; and before today I thought there was no way Peterson fell to 8. But with Det getting Foster, to go with the guy the signed to play LT last year, it may start a domino chain that winds up with us not having to trade up to get Peterson. Oak goes Russel, Det goes G. Adams, Cle goes J. Thomas, TB goes Calvin Johnson, Ari goes anywhere but Rb and QB, Wash goes D, and Minn coudl go any which way including Peterson.

I still think that if Peterson falls past Cle somebody will trade up for him, with the Texans or somebody else.

The rumored trade up for the #3 pick is just that rumor; doesn't matter if it's on the net, all over the radio or carved on the moon till it happens it's just a rumor.

As long as a story about Peterson taking hundreds of thousands of dollars while playing at Oklahoma and he doesn't blow off and lie to Bob McNair's face, I think he is safe to be drafted by us if available.

Wow...how can anyone say that the Texans are out to "fill the stands" instead of win? Have you been living under a rock? Did we not pass on media/fan darling Reggie Bush AND hometown hero Vince Young a year ago? Good god, if thats not a sign that this organization is going to do whatever it thinks is going to improve the team, I dont know what is.
