Default Mock Drafts

Well most the mock drafts I've seen has us either taking Adrian Peterson, Laron Landry, or Brady Quinn. an ESPN guy has us with Quinn...

Opinions?

I opinion that this belongs in the Draft forum.

I then second opinion and say that I don't see us taking a QB in the first no matter who was available. I don't see Peterson being there at 8. Landry will be there and could be a good need pick there but I may lean towards Reggie Nelson over Landry at this stage.

I know it has us taking BQ but its still early. The combine is in a couple days and then we have individual work outs at schools. I dont think we need to worry what the texans are going to do bc I honestly dont think what they are going to do. Its all depends what happens in free agency.

finally our long wait is nearly over. The combine will answer some questions about players and rankings. And now the draft is that much closer. Free Agency is a must for us and will definitly answer what we do on the first day.

I sure hope peterson is available for us. I'd rather us not draft Quinn but he may be a good player to drop to us for a possible trade down. I would be happy with Landry. He's a great free safety, something we definitly need. He is a leader of the secondary and very smart. He is a good tackler too. I like Reggie Nelson a lot but some may think he could conver to cornerback in the nfl...esp the falcons. although that wouldn't be bad for us either. Nelson's tackling doesn't impress me at all...he has some big hits for sure but they are all sideways with his shoulder. Landry wraps em up and bags em.

If Peterson is gone and Quinn is there, he's probably the BPA. I'm warming up to the idea and am giving him a chance...i'm not throwing him away just yet like a lot of people. There are other players I would want more but, shoot, whatever kubiak and smith decide is best, I'll jump on board.

I agree about if BQ is there then we should look at the posibilities. But I deff would not start him the first year, I would sit him all year and make him hold the clipboard. Really mould him to be the franchise QB we were hopping for in carr. JMO Whatever we do I just hope it will be the right thing for the franchise, I do like Laundry and the man can hit, thats for sure.
