Finnerty, who followed Drew Henson at Brighton High School and who walked on at Toledo before transferring to Grand Valley State after his freshman season, became the most prolific quarterback in college football history.

He had a 51-4 record as a starter at Grand Valley State, three Division II national championships, more than 10,000 yards passing.

With the weak QB class this year I wouldnt be surprised if he got drafted in the 6th or 7th by a team hoping to land a jewel late in the draft.

Reminds of Brett Elliott from little Linfield College. Threw for the most TDs in college. San Diego signed him as a UFA last year and he got cut not long after the season started.

That's what happens with most of these guys.

Even if he isnt good enough to make it in the pros, I always hope a kid like this can at least get a shot somewhere.

He wins games and is a playmeaker, at least at the D2 level. Worth a shot.
