Bradlee Van Bad Ass.....

I've never seen him play. All I know is that he was a 7th round draft pick of the Denver Broncos a couple of years back. So I decided to start looking around the net, so I could get a good understanding of what we have in Bradlee Van Pelt.

Seems we got ourselves a little Bad Ass.

Van Pelt to start for Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Colorado State University quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt will start at the AXA Liberty Bowl, despite his arrest on a charge of verbal harassment.

Van Pelt was placed on probation last week after his arrest for an argument outside a bar. Because Van Pelt is on probation, further transgressions would result in more severe punishment.

Coach Sonny Lubick said the arrest on the misdemeanor charge, Van Pelt's first, did not warrant a suspension.

Lubick's decision came after CSU's judicial affairs department decided the arrest wasn't serious enough to conduct a hearing.

The school likely will require Van Pelt to attend an alcohol and drug awareness class or anger-management class.

Lubick said he would make clear that similar behavior will not be tolerated.

"Our players know that they cannot put the program in a bad light by getting involved in police matters, even if they don't really do anything wrong,'' Lubick said Tuesday.

Van Pelt was the Mountain West Conference's offensive player of the year this season.

The Rams face TCU at the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31.

Injured fullback Cecil Sapp, cornerback Dexter Wynn and offensive guard Albert Bimper were all expected to play in the bowl game.

Cheesy video, but good content. I used to watch a lot of Van Pelt while he was at CSU. The WAC games used to be a lot of fun to watch late on Saturday nights when I was 3 sheets in to the wind and the teams were airing it out.

They still love the guy in CO. I hope he gets to stay around.

ahhh finally some love for Van Pelt. i saw the video and was impressed with it. he reminds me of Vince on how he played in college. My gut feeling says we wont draft a QB because of so many QB's on our roster. I say give Van Pelt a chance not Carr....

That is my usual M.O., but not this time.

I was just trying to find some news on him...... how he played in College.... what people thought of him before he came into the NFL.

I saw the thing about him flipping off the crowd, and the "suspension" I thought it was odd that we'd have this "bad ass" on our team.

I still don't know how he compares to David....

Considering the fact that DC was limted to handing off the ball in the latter part of the season, nearly any QB could be inserted and perform just as well under those curcumstances.

Carr's hands were tied to prevent him from damaging the team, and it worked to a degree.

As someone who lives in Colorado, I have to say it was fun to watch Bradlee both for the Rams and the Broncos (in preseason). He reminded me a lot of an old Oiler back-up by the name of Bucky Richardson - a fan favorite every preseason. Bradlee is a tough son of a gun who will do whatever it takes to move the chains. It isn't always pretty, but he usually got the job done. I haven't seen that commitment from Carr. It would be nice to have someone on the roster who could bring that quality to the team.

I'm with you on this one, I remember him playing preseason and not looking too bad...most memorable would be the preseason game last year against the Texans. He seems a little rough around the edges style wise, but he sure isn't afraid to get out of the pocket, run the ball, and take a HIT if it means moving the ball.I say give him a chance to compete for the job.
