Default Challenge All Star thing

Most of this is stupid, but did anyone catch the kicking competition? The guy from UCLA (The left footed guy) looked amazing

I didn't see that but I say let's get him...he can go with cameron muro...our left footed punter. I could see a lot of fumbles for the opponents on kick offs and punt returns. lol

I saw him and I like him. Special teams has really been holding us back the past few years.

He was a perfect 12/12 in points.

2 40 yarders, 2 45 yarders, 2 50 yarders, and a 55 yarder in 1 minute total. The 55 yarder could have been from 5 - 10 yards out and still been good.

In other notets, the Colorado kicker that was supposedly ranked so high looked horrible. He scored 5/12 points. His 45 yarder went about 10 feet before bouncing on the ground. And his 55 yarder was a good 10 yards short

I saw part of it, only the jug machine though. Meachem has some good hands based on the competition, he was getting pissed the jug machine guys weren't going fast enough.

Well for those who didn't see it, here is my review of the whole thing:

QB Accuracy -
Winner: Drew Stanton, Michigan State
Everyone looked pretty sub par on this one. No one was even close to hitting the 60 yard target. Stanton was by far the best. Troy Smith and Chris Leak didn't look that great

QB Long Ball
Winner: Troy Smith (73 yards)
Zabransky from Boise had by far the weakest arm, followed by Leak and then Stanton. Stanton was a close 2nd with 71 yards

QB mobility
Winner: Stanton
He looked very quick and agile. No real competition here

WR/TE/RB Obstacle course
Winner: Kenny Irons
He was quick and agile, and took this one all the way. Darius Walker was a close second but a sore loser

WR/TE/RB Catching Drill
Winner: Robert Meacham
Barely beat out TE Greg Olson. Both looked awesome at catching. Meacham had no difficulty with speed and went out to get every single ball away from his body. Kenny Irons was by far the worst in the competition, despite a decently high score. He catches underhanded with his body

Route Running
Winner: Greg Olson
This TE is fast, agile, and can catch very well. I think this was because he and his partner, Stanton, had practiced together though

Kicking
Winner: Justin Medlock
Medlock booted every kick right down the middle and without much prep. Great distance on every kick. John Vaughn of Auburn was a close 2nd. Mason Crosby looked HORRIBLE.

Irons had a bad start, but ended up catching 27 passes. That's pretty good for a RB...or at least compared to Darius "who?" Walker

Chad Jackson had a nice showing last year, as did Troy Williamson the year before, and it ended up helping their stock. I think Olsen dispelled the talk of him having bad hands and the route running competition showed his athleticism, but I could tell he was holding back some.

Even though Irons caught 27 passes, his form looked terrible. The way Meacham caught passes away from his body, using his hands, and looking the ball all the way in was completely different from the underhanded hold on for dear life method Irons was using

I was pretty disappointed in the talent this year. Last year they had a lot more big name prospects who participated.

I would've loved to have seen JaMarcus Russell compete in the long ball contest.
