The depth at SLB in this year's draft is great. The Texans should have no problem finding a starter to play SLB. Texans were seen talking with Posluzny in the senior bowl. Here is few LB who can fit our system very well.
Timmons - 1st round Posluszny - 1st round Alexander - 2nd Beason - 2nd Everett - 2nd |

Alexander is too small to play SLB, he is basically only going to be a WLB in the NFL.

That would mean we would have to trade down. to get them in the 1st. With the trade down I would rather have Patrick Willis playing at that spot who can play any LB position.
With that said, I think we have more pressing needs than to pick a LB in the 1st round. I just don't see us picking a LB in the 1st...but may pick the right one in the 2nd if he's worth it.

Why do I think of Bobby Carpenter when I think of Posluszny?

Agreed. I think again some scouts and analysts get caught up in things like height and 40 measurements. If a guy can play...and has proved himself in a tough conference.... and yes despite things i think the Big 12 is a tough conference and will build on last year. It'sa plus he played at Oklahoma...sorta (UT fan) but they run a pro style program.

Rufus alexander will be the demeco ryans of next year. He can cover and lay some serious wood. I would love to see a LB like him or Everett taken in the 2nd rd

would rather see the Texans address the secondary & OL w/1st two picks. then in 3rd look for a OLB, WR, RB, DE, FS, QB ............
