There is chaos on the Cleveland boards. 1/3 want Peterson, 1/3 want Thomas and 1/3 want Branch.
Arguments For/Against Peterson Droughns will be 29 this yr, conventional wisdom says RBs are done @ 30. Droughns will be starting his 8th yr, CW says NFL RBs avg 7 yrs. Droughns has had (2) 1200 yd seasons in the last (3) years. (only 758 yds last yr, is he done?) Arguments For/Against Thomas Browns ranked 31st in rushing offense, Browns gave up 54 sacks. Browns have 3 OL starters on IR, Bentley, Butler and Coleman. Browns just signed Butler to a 2 year extension. Arguments For/Against Branch Ted Washington will be starting his 17th year, Browns were in the bottom 1/3 stopping the run. Browns have 3 very young unproven backups to Washington. Other: Crennel is a defensive coach. Peterson would be a fan favorite. Who the Browns draft is the key to Peterson being available @ #8.

Dont forget Brady Quinn, I think he will end up there, unless they think AP will remind people of Jim Brown.
I hope they pass on him cause my Avatar would be wrong for the 3rd year in a row.

They also signed Kevin Shafer, formerly of the Falcons, to a rather large FA contract and he plays left tackle, so I doubt they go for Thomas, if he is even availlable. I personaly see them either going for Brady Quinn or Alan Branch with an outside shot at AP. Droughns was hurt last year, and while he has been in the league for a while, he was a back up most of his career and has not taken the pounding most running backs have after 8 seasons.

The Browns will IMO take either Alan Branch or Joe Thomas.
He has a 3-4 defense and could use a 6'6" 330 mamoth on the line. And he has nobody to play LT.

I doubt that AP will make it past Cleveland.
I think that Marshawn Lynch would be a better fit for this offense anyway. |

As much as I'd love to see AP play here next year, I can't fathom him making it past seven different teams. Cleveland is my favorite to take him as they have the most need. If he does fall to us, I hope we pick him up.

Oakland is unlikley to take him Detroit has bigger needs and Kevin Jones is pretty good Tampa has Cadillac, a 5th overall pick Washington has Portis Minn has Chester Taylor, who played well last season and they have way bigger needs at WR and defense.

I'm sure Cleveland will take Brady Quinn. I think Charlie Fyre is done in Cleveland, and Brady Quinn has been saying that he wants to play in Cleveland so they will probably take the local kid. AP is also a good pick.
I think Detroit will take Joe Thomas. |

I think AP goes to Cle and Branch goes to Washington because they are a stupid franchise.

I still think that Phil Savage will pull out all his tricks and try to trade up to the #1 pick and take JaMarrcus Russel, who he is really good friends with.

the coaches and rick smith will draft a guy that will help this team, lets just sit back and see what happens, remember we dont have charlie to screw everythin up, ima just sit back and trust gary and rick, i have a feelin it will be an player that plays offense, just because i think kubiak was limited because of the lack of talent on the offense. so Adrian or Lynch would be cool with me

FWIIW, Great Bule Northern has Detroit taking Joe Thomas at the two. Can't argue with the value. My draft day scenario...All Day is there...they trade out of the eight for extra picks. Take BPA with the traded first. This team has a lot of holes and question marks for April. They get Clemments or Samuels, they can afford All Day. They don't get a front line corner durring free agency, I just don't think they take the gamble. Too many holes are on the team. Just my guess.
