im getting worried, when is AJ contract going to expire...i think he has 1 year left...how expensive is he going to be? when are we going to re-sign him?

He has two years left on his contract, they will likely work very hard next offseason to extend his deal.

basically, if we cant afford to keep him in a long term deal or we cant agree on a deal, we can place a franchise tag, to were he gets paid as a top 5 reciever in the NFL for one year...and i believe we can keep giving him the franchise tag until we can agree on a long term deal.

we still have plenty of time to resign AJ. The contract most of us should be inquiring about is that of David Carr. I think the only way he is accepted by the fans next season is if he takes a pay cut, ala Chad Pennington.

pennington was injured so the cut was at least somewhat justified. as much as many of us would want carr to do that, "to earn his pay," the NFLPA would strongly dissuade such a deal.. they look out for the best in their clients, and a non-injured player, regardless of his effectiveness, shoudnt be expected to do that. many could care less if carr takes a pay cut, they just want him gone.
