David Carr has said in a few intervies and magazine articles over the past few years about how much he loves California...Since playing for Fresno State, I think Carr wishes that he can play in California...Well, with Oakland needing a QB and with the possible drafting of Calvin Johnson...do you thin we could possibly trade Carr for a third or fourth round pick in either this years or next years draft? I think if we can possibily restructure Carrs deal, that it could be a definate possibility...im not saying its going to happen, and in my opinion it wont...i just wanted to know if there was a chance of this ever happening in the near future before the draft and after the play-offs...

Not a big fan of the idea myself because I don't see an upgrade being immediately available to us.
That and the fact I am a believer in Carr (still).

to be honest with you, im a big fan of carr and would hate to see him leave...he's never gotten a real chance to prove himself...i would like us to get kevin kolb though, so we can mould him to be the starter in two or three years...

seriously what is this obession with DC getting traded to the raiders? California ties are aboutthe only thing i can see linking the two.
Said it before and will again. I think Washington is a good place for Dave to go. Brunell might be out the door. Jason Campell is still young and inexperienced David could spot start if needed and Dan Synder would be the only one to take the contract. I wouldn't see us getting more then a 4th at best from ANYONE. More likely a 5th rounder.

Actually Al Davis loves to take vet QB reclaimation projects and turn them around. Plunkett & Gannon were two of his biggest successes.
Carr has the arm Davis loves and he would give him an opportunity to show the NFL how smart he still is if he could turn him around.

i wouldn't trade carr and have our future qb be kolb. i don't think he will be a great nfl qb or any better than carr. if we were able to get quinn, jamarcus, or brohm i would consider it. i don't understand why washington would want carr when Campbell has looked very good so far and bringing in carr would have him looking over his shoulder. plus, after the horrible off-season last year it appears Snyder will be more careful before opening the checkbook.

I agree. I've said that in a couple of other threads recently. I don't think I've seen him really throw something deep that wasn't a rainbow for a couple of years now. When did he hurt his shoulder?

agreed. The first boner Big Al will have in the last twenty years is when he reads DC's name on the waiver wire.

Atlanta game a couple of seasons a go ? Remeber...he came in hurt and couldn't get his arm up over his head. Don't remeber the original body slam he took on which sack... in which game it was. 248, who can remember them all ?

the texans would love to trade carr to OAK and sign plummer and draft, say, brennan at 40. and OAK would love to draft CJ #1, him being the best player. if OAK cuts aaron brooks they might have the cap space for carr, certainly if they cut moss too.

Just wanted to point out the rainbow was added by Kubiak as a way to create jump balls for Johnson, who should out jump most CBs. It was by design. Didn't work real well. Kubiak is on record as saying how strong Carr's arm is and how accurate he is. That all said, practice are one thing and games are another. Carr practice well and we have all seen the games.

I for one would hate to see Carr traded to Oakland. Their O-line sucks almost as much as the Texans O-line, so Carr would just continue to be the World's Toughest Tackling Dummy for the entire league if he went there.

I am with you, why Kolb?
Kolb has been in the same offense for 7 years, and he just got better last year. So that's doesn't tell me how quick he can learn new NFL offense. I would draft kolb in 5th or 6th round.
