Making the grade
By Charles Robinson, Yahoo! Sports January 3, 2007 C- HOUSTON TEXANS (6-10): Wide receiver Andre Johnson sorely needs a more explosive complement than Eric Moulds. With some talent additions in the secondary, the defense should continue to get better. Really, quarterback David Carr is the No. 1 problem. He just didn't get any better as the season progressed. |

A more explosive complement would be able to run the 3 yrd route in 1.8 seconds instead of Mould's 1.96 seconds.

Better than ESPN fan voting I saw. They had our draft at an F and our regular season at a D or so.

Just be nice to get through ten games with the same four of five in the o-line
intact. He has nothing on the o-line, he's nothing. Waisted band wideth.

Nobody else cares about this team but us. You're not going to get a well thought out vote from anyone but Texans fans and then you'll get an overboard vote from most because they are a fan. IMO, Eric Moulds served his purpose and that was to take pressure away from AJ. Without Eric, Andre doesn't have over 100 catches. That's just my opinion.

They look at our 1st overall selection, realize we didn't take <insert VY/Bush>, and immediately grade us on that.

Robinson is a good respected journalist, I think his asessment is fair.

You're right Eric Moulds is not the problem. The problem is that we still don't have a WR (w/ Mathis OUT) to stretch the field. I think if Mathis comes back next year totally healthy and somewhat better @ WR.
He does wonders for AJ and Moulds and makes those holes in the zones bigger for those two underneath. Even Carr couldn't screw that up...RIGHT? RIGHT?
