Demeco is up for defensive player of the year on nfl.com

Which of these players do you think should be the Defensive Player of the Year?
Aaron Kampman GB
Champ Bailey DEN
DeMeco Ryans HOU
Jason Taylor MIA
Julius Peppers CAR
Shawne Merriman SD

Funny how he is one of the defensive player of the year finalists on nfl.com but cant make the pro bowl....

Anyways he's at 4 % so pick him up everyone!!!

I saw that earlier. I don't think he's the best out of that group but the fact that he's being mentioned with players like that as a rookie speaks a ton.

It would be hard for Ryans to win it this year with the way Jason Taylor has played. But like the previous poster said......it's great for him to be mentioned with a group like that.

Jason Taylor should win it.....Demeco should take Def. ROY ! Won't vote for him for Def. Player of the year just because he is a Texans. Taylor deserves it, and Demeco deserves Def. ROY !

I think Demeco is one of the top five linebackers in football this year. To stretch that into Defensive Player of the Year is a bit much, but I voted for him on the poll anyway

Jason Taylor will probably win it, IMO. Bailey has a good chance if the Broncos win a playoff game.

I would love for DeMeco to win it...he's played like a beast this year...but he hasn't outplayed Jason Taylor. That guy's been a madman all over the field under our former head coach, and he certainly deserves it (I think he deserves a nomination for MVP myself...but that obviously won't happen).

This confirms that the pro bowl is a joke.

The players that were voted ahead of him at his position aren't even on this list.......that is sad.
