ya but they'd rather draft their own and develop him in their system from the start of his pro career, by the time Ragone was caught up his contract might be up. It just doesn't make sense for anyone involved.

I doubt that Ragone has more trade value than value for his current team.

As a Falcon Fan i know the worth of a good backup, who knows the system and is able to deliver, if he has to. And that could be the case somewhere in the future, cause Banks wont be Backup forever.

Also i'm not sure, if there's a market for Ragone. Miami wanted an alternative to Fiedler and gambled way too high. Green Bay was in need and got Sullivan. cheap. Apart from the Colts, Kansas, Dallas or Baltimore, were aren't alot of teams, who would need another Qb to fill in as Backup after their starter went down. And QB's like Kitna, Holcombe, McMahon, Dilfer, B. johnson, Ramsey are benched and could get traded in emergencies before Ragone.

enough about Ragone. I think that if we were to make a move before the trade deadline,we should move Bradford and let Armstrong take the 3rd dpot this year, and activate either Thomas or Starling (I assume that they are still on the practice squad, of course).

Green Bay got O'Sullivan in the McKenzie trade. They aslo have Nall, and Brett. I'm not so sure they need another QB this season, and as others have stated there are many other more experienced backup QBs in the NFL teams would look to before they'd go after Ragone. Any move for Brees by the Packers will likely come at seasons end when he becomes a FA. That way they won't have to compensate the Chargers.
