Is Carr going to be traded or released? What team would trade for him with his contract the way it is?
After gathering the evidence of the first 14 games this season i've come to the conclusion that Carr is unsalvagable in Houston. Sure, he may become a solid qb one day but the Houston fans will not go another season with Carr under center. I think Mcnair knows this and will do the smart thing business wise and get rid of Carr at the end of the season to salvage his PSL's. Personally, I think Carr will be released because I cant think of a team that would be willing to part with any draft picks to take on his cap number. PS: Good luck to Carr wherever he ends up, it really isn't fair to expect anyone to be succesful in the situation Carr was put in from the start.

They are either going to try and strongarm him into reworking his contract and bring him back next year to COMPETE for the job OR they will bite the big bullet and cut him and take the cap hit just like we have with many other high$$ players that fell out of favor.
But this is the Texans we are talking about, so expect them to do the exact opposite of what they should do. Which means *drum roll* Carr comes back with no competition and we suck again.

Browns
Raiders Bucs Vikings Lions Jets Bears Ravens Panthers Bills Chiefs Only teams I can think of that would have interest in Carr. I'd think that most would have a very low interest in Carr. |

I think that he stays because of his contract. If they want to shop him around, I hope they wait until after/during the draft so they don't give away their intentions. If they can't move him, then they'll just throw him out in front of whoever they plan to replace him with.

It took Jake 3 years under Kubiak to become a good qb. I believe Kubiak could make Carr put up similar numbers as Jake did last season with 3 years of coaching, but the Houston fans will not sit around and watch Carr be the qb for another season so that point is moot.

Same as Joey, I think Detroit got a conditional 5th round draft pick.

And in other news Trent Dilfer won a super bowl and Rex Grossman leads the # 1 seeded team in the NFC...

Jake Plummer was a good quarteback before he arrived in Denver. The guy left it all on the field during every game he played in Arizona. His numbers were not good, but Shanahan knew the guy had something and took the risk. The result was not a superbowl, but they were very competitive.
Kubiak did not mold Plummer, Plummer simply fit into the situation. That was the first mistake made by Kubiak in Denver. He thought he could take what he had at every position and mold it into "the system". This does not work in the NFL and it has been proven countless times. Carr is simply a bad quarteback, and he is fortunate to have been drafted by an organization that failed to realize it all the way to the point of paying him even more money this season. |

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Plummer here...Not that i want him here, but Kubiak always seems to play it safe and go with the players he knows and who knows his system...
