Top 3 College Teams? - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

what the hey, what are the top 3 college teams you root for?

1: Miami - born in miami, been a fan of The U since the day i was born. it's in my blood.
2: USF - living in tampa now, i've followed this team since the program began 10 years ago. the strides they've made in that time is remarkable. they can contend for a BCS game next year.
3: Whoever wins the SEC - a great conference, they play the game right. really hard to root against any of these teams.

UTEP. Born in El Paso and it's nice to see them have a competent coach. I don't think Mike Price will be leaving anytime soon either. He seems extremely sincere to UTEP for giving him a second chance.

I don't really care much for other teams since I'm not the biggest college football fan. I like Tennessee though. No real reason. Penn State as well because Joe Pa looks like a cool guy.

LSU and Texas, and i root for everyone in the SEC in bowl games

1. Georgia Tech - Was brought up a Yellowjackets fan, that majority of my dad's side of the family went there.

2. Auburn - This is the school my mom's side of the family went to. I'm a big fan of Auburn but not nearly as much as Tech due to my dad having much more influence on my team alliegences than my mom.

3. LSU - I was extremely close to going here out of HS but decided to take a year off of school to relax and have some fun.

Honorable mention - UH. I go to school here but can't seem to get into the sports teams too much. Maybe if they played in a real conference I could get into them.

Texas Tech - Im a student there, so lets hope I root for them!
Nebraska - Grew up around them becuase my Dad is HUGE on Nebraska football
I dont really have a 3rd favorite, but its probably between Georgia (DJ Shockley made me a fan) and LSU

I grew up a Florida fan and ended up going to LSU. So that's why my list looks kinda weird.

1. LSU (by a long long margin)
2. Florida
3. Vanderbilt

1. The Ohio State University (Because they are The Ohio State University).

2. University of Cincinnati (Because all the athletes that can't make The Ohio State University squad go there to compete).

3. Miami of Ohio (I grew up near Oxford).
