Reasons to Draft Troy Smith

Obviously everybodys still mad that we didn't get V.Young and since we can't turn back the hands of time i say we get the next best thing Troy Smith a Heisman winning QB with a laser arm to go with his top noch speed. Draft him with our first round Pick than Get a veteran like plummer while we groom him.

i like his throwin, he seems to get ted ginn all the time, leads him nicely, puts the ball at the right spots over the middle of the field, good player, not to sure if hes worth an early 1st round though

Russell is not mobile enough for us. Troy Smith would be perfect, but not with a top 10 pick. He's going to measure at 6'0 or 5'11 at the combine.

You really don't need a blazer to run rollouts and bootlegs. The success of those plays relies mostly on a successful running game rather than a guy who can scoot. It can be a bonus for your QB to be fast (like Smith) but not necessary.

russell is plenty mobile. certainly more than the average starting QB. more than jake plummer, more than david carr...

Not worth paying top 10 money again to a QB. Late first and later, sure bring him in. Early first? Naw....DB and OL should be our first pick. QB can wait until later in the draft.

im suprised that all of you guys gave up on carr after when he has only had one off season with kubiak. Carr has made a lot less mistakes this year and has shown solid signs of improvement. I think the texans should keep on building up their defense, and if we keep on losing at least we can draft a qb and put him on a team that can win.

any QB can throw 5 yard passes all day...i mean 1 td pass in the last 7 games??? that is pitiful...i like carr as a human being, but not as the starting QB of the Houston Texans.
