He just scored on an amazing 60 yard pass play.

Bush is an amazing talent.
But I wouldnt call that an amazing play by Bush. All he did was run in a straight line while all the Cowboys players quit on the play. He is fast tho. |

Great Play for Reggie,
I was impressed how his linemen ran about 20 yards down field and making blocks.

I'm not saying it wasnt a great play.
I'm just saying that it wasnt all Bush. He had at least 3 downfield blocks, he broke 1 weak-ass tackle, and everyone else quit on the play. Newman looked like he was gonna break his ankle when Bush ran right past him. |

Bush is finally starting to produce at or near the expectations.
He's having a good game, but for comparison check out these stats that Jags rookie Maurice Jones-Drew had today against the Colts: total yards - 303, rushing yards - 166, 93 yard kickoff return for TD, total touchdowns 3. |

Anybody who expressed concerns about Reggie as an every down back was right... but he seems to be making those concerns moot. Props to him. How about Mike Karney!

Well he is making out to be one hell of a reciever but as a running back the jury is still out and only time will tell. He only had something like 37 yards rushing.
Maybe they should just leave Duece at back and put Reggie at the wideout position with Colston/Horn/Henderson. B |

I will agree with you that the jury is still out on whether or nont he will ever be an every down back, if nothing else because he hasn't been given the chance to be. You correctly mention that he only had 37 yards rushing, but he also only ran the ball 6 times. |

I just think that the coaching staff have figured out what his best use is and that is a reciever type coming out of the backfield sort of like Texans used DD for. I know Reggie is not happy with this but man its working for them. He'll get his shot in time. They have Deuce to be the main hog in the backfield.
I just don't know if Reggie wouldn't be better suited to stay in his current role. His skills are best when he can match up with a linebacker and he has some open field to work with. This is why him being a receiver type seems to work well for him. Do I think he is making Defense be aware of him. Yea in some sort of way but man the Saints have so many weapons right now its hard to key in on anyone. With the core of recievers and backs its just tough to watch all of them. You take away some of that good reciever corp and duece running and you wouldn't see Reggie making so many of the catches because they could focus on him. I finally saw the replay today that everyone keep saying was so electrifying. Didn't really see that but what I did see that I loved were those two big friggin tanks he had carving a wide path and displacing bodies in the way, now that was impressive. He should buy those guys lunch. B B |

I am torn because I have been a life long fan of the saints since they started in the NFL.
What else can you be if you lived in South Louisiana. Am loving that the saints are winning again as it has been awhile since the Mora era and the dome patrol, Hokie/Dalton/Hebert times. I used to go see Archie play but man they were bad and to be honest he looked like David Carr does nowadays scrambling for his life. Anyway to my point. I live in Houston for some years now and have been a season ticket holder since Texans inception. I go to the games and pull for the Texans except when they play the Saints (but even then I still wish the Texans well and hope for an enjoyable game). I really couldn't care if the Texans took Bush (cause I don't think he wouldh have helped us), Or Young. I really had hoped that the Texans would have taken a shot at Bree's but they didn't and the Saints got him and I was overjoyed cause I couldn't take Brooks anymore. Man Reggie may be getting all the play but Bree's is the lighting in the bottle for them. B |
