Default I wonder why we cant the ball down field?

I wonder how the Oakland Raiders will play us?You will not do anything when your rushing game is this bad. And if you dont reply I will understand, lets bench the QB though.I thought there was only 32 teams, so your telling me there is 8 back ups that have more yards.

You forgot one of those ahead of our 40th placed RB is a QB at #11. So technically wouldn't it only be 7 back-ups ahead of our guy?

We need a running back and there's no denying it. I want Adrian Peterson but my common sense tells me we have so much more to do in building the line that we need to forget about getting anybody like that.

Wali Lundy didn't play for 3 games, so naturally he is going to have fewer yards. So your point is really meaningless.

But, maybe what you were trying to say is a poor rushing attack as a team means a team will have a harder time throwing the football. Let's not talk about individual players, and lets look at the NFL by rush rankings and then compare that to the passing rankings.

Here goes:

Rushing Rank --- Team --- Passing Rank

1 --- Atlanta --- 31
2 --- San Diego --- 13
3 --- Jacksonville --- 24
4 --- San Francisco --- 27
5 --- Dallas --- 6
6 --- Kansas City --- 21
7 --- New York (N) --- 18
8 --- Denver --- 26
9 --- Tennessee --- 28
10 --- Philadelphia --- 3
11 --- New England --- 11
12 --- Washington --- 23
13 --- Seattle --- 20
14 --- Indianapolis --- 2
15 --- Chicago --- 15
16 --- Minnesota --- 14
17 --- Pittsburgh --- 4
18 --- Carolina --- 19
19 --- New York (A) --- 22
20 --- Cincinnati --- 5
21 --- Oakland --- 32
22 --- Baltimore --- 17
23 --- Green Bay --- 9
24 --- Miami --- 12
25 --- St. Louis --- 8
26 --- Buffalo --- 30
27 --- Houston --- 16
28 --- New Orleans --- 1
29 --- Tampa Bay --- 29
30 --- Cleveland --- 25
31 --- Detroit --- 7
32 --- Arizona --- 10

Atlanta has the best rushing offense, but one of the worst passing games. Meanhwile, New Orleans has one of the worst rushing attacks, but the best passing game. The Texans have one of the worst rushing attacks, but a middle of the road passing game. That really doesn't make sense if you apply your theory!

Look, Carr had a decent stat game against Buffalo and had one hell of running game. But, the Texans offense couldn't score one point in the second half, and only could get 41 yards total offense and one 1st down in the 4th quarter.

The problem with Carr and the offense isn't the stats per say, or not having a running game or passing game per say, they are unable to finish games off period. The offense is good for about 17 points any which way you slice it.

And you can see above, there are teams in the league that have the best rushing attacks and can't pass well and vice versa. So your theory really doesn't hold water! There really isn't the correlation you are implying!

The biggest difference on offense is the QB, and in today's NFL, playing with less, not more, is going to be the successful QB. Besides the game is about SCORING POINTS, NOT STATISTICS!!!

I think we'd be well advised to take another DLineman, somebody like this
Alan Branch, the Michigan tackle, if the underclassman elects to come out early. And this assumes we don't trade the pick, which probably is the best move of all. And on where we finish, which is looking more and more like a
non issure as I think we will be positioned high enough to take about whoever
we want.
But owner McNair, normally a delegator, may take charge and demand we pick Petersen because its the only way he can pump any excitement into the
2007 marketing campaign for season ticketts. Peterson, even though he played for the Sooners, is a Texas native and one of the more widely acclaimed scholastic backs to come out of this state since Earl Campbell.

You know Buffalo beat us without Mcgahee and the Jets won gaining 27 yds. What was the final score against the Giants .

I agree if we had a RB producing TDs like Tomlinson we'd be much better . You know they drafted # 1 in 2004 and now their a top 5 team in the NFL . They also have a rookie LT and a QB starting for the first time in his career .

The bottom line is you can win a SB without a superstar QB if you can rush the ball and play defense . Its hard to win a SB with an average QB getting paid 8 million dollars . I can think of betters ways to spend it . I know AJ has the hands of a crab ... can't run ... Kubiak's a fool .
